My 2005 is at 22,500 miles right now. Hope to get plenty of top down miles this summer here at the beach in Maine.

miles ugg

Well i can't believe my eyes. I bought my baby back on oct 4th 2012. I had exactly 20758. Since then I have put on 46035. %These are mainly just taking my nephews back and forth to baseball, music and therapy. You would think that the oldest nephew who has a car now. Could take some time out of his life to take his brother around to his apts. Glad i didn't lease the XLR because I would have been over millage. But i think a person only leases a new car not a used car. I could have gone round trip from my house to san diego CA. I think i did the math right, one way is 2480 miles (aprox). The rate im going I will need a new car in a couple yrs. By the way I'm venting. sorry to take it out o this group. But if i put it on Facebook then my nephews will be calling me

Ok, so I am guessing you hit one extra number in error: you didn't acutally add on 46,000 miles in 6 months did you??? 4,600 miles ??? If I am assuming correctly, that is proof of what happesn when you rant & rave!

Calm yourself! :blinzel:

Anyway: Cars are made for driving! :burnout: Ask the Professor, he has over 200,000 miles on his XLR!

Yes thanks. she now has 25277 miles on her. My oldest nephew lied to me and didn't want to take his brother for the 1/2 hr lesson for guitar. He instead said he had a game to go to. He actually just wanted to go to the beach. So I had to walk away from a association meeting to take my youngest nephew to his lesson. Point in he lied to me

Well yesterday I looked at the mileage and only had 20 or so miles to go till I turned 25 k. So when I looked at the mileage again today I saw at the stoplight that I finally turned 25,000 View attachment 2827 I just had minutes to snap the pic on my iPhone before the light changed. Does anyone else have there Xlr with just around or less then 25 k miles?

My 2009 has somewhere around 10,500 on it

Mine is hitting "middle age" - almost 40k.

It gets more TLC than my workhorse daily driver, so hopefully will last a long time. Of course my kid tells everyone that I "drive fast," so I have his friends begging me to do that with them in the car. Great. :( I guess that might get me out of carpooling!

"Middle Age"

Well, I just got back from my XLR circuit drive thru CO, NM, AZ, NV and CA. Now, a year and a half after I got QUIK AG, she now is over 45K, a gain of some 11K miles since I picked her up from the truck that delivered her.

Weird thing happened yesterday, tho. Between Gallup and Albuquerque, I picked up a vibration at any speed over 75, which I could also feel in the wheel and the console. The windshield mirror was vibrating horizontally, while the passenger mirror was vibrating vertically. :dunno: I had my wife drive her SRX along both sides, to see if she could spot anything going on with my tires, but all looked normal. I stopped for gas at the San Felipe Travel Center, north of ABQ, and checked all the tires for a bubble, or loose tread. Nothing; so I got to the back of the very large parking lot (it's also a casino and a small race track, so it needs lots of parking) and drove straight at my wife doing hard slalom turns. Nothing was evident, so I decided to "take it easy" :chuckle and keep on plugging for home. When I got back on I-25, the vibration was gone, and didn't come back all the way home. :)

"Curiouser and curiouser"...

May you had a stone stuck in the tire tread that came out? Usually a wheel out of balance is around 55 ???

Dan, I agree that whenever I've had a wheel balance problem, it showed up about 55 mph. I am clueless as to where this vibration was originating. It was warm, but not hot there (guessing low 90s), but I had been going about 90mph for several periods, prior to this vibration thing showing up, so I don't think it was a stone or something stuck to the tire. Since it felt as though it was in the front of the car, I was wondering if something amiss in the engine might have caused it. 75mph::2,100rpm in my car. Maybe I should have shifted it to see if the problem changed. Guess I'll try that if it comes back. :banghead:

Anybody else ever have anything like this happen to them? What are the odds that it may have left a DTC lying around? :dunno:

Oh, FWIW, I averaged 69.7mph for the 1,050 mile return trip and got 27.7mpg. Gotta love that!!! :blinzel:

Yes I had the exact same thing happen. I didn't do anything in a parking lot or anything, it just went away and never returned. :dunno: I have different wheels and tires now, but that was several miles before I changed.

Well, thanks, Mike. Thought I was the only one who ever had this happen. :chuckle I went to the point of even having OnStar check to see if there was a vestige of a DTC still sitting there, but NOPE. No CEL, so it was kind of a "Hail Mary" thought. I'm still leaning to some engine issue: temporarily fouled plug? Plugged or failing injector? Bad gas? BTW, I was getting low on fuel at the time, so maybe there's some dirt in the tank??? Dunno. Just hope it stays away. :)

Well, today my mom is leaving the Cadillac family. She's trading in her srx and going back to the Honda odyssey. 😪😱 spent last night clearing the homelink and taking out all personal stuff from the car. We also canceled her Onstar for that car. But if she has extra minutes on the phone calling part. Doesn't she have to roll those over to another Onstar vehicle? Or can she roll it over to the odyssey? Since that one has the Bluetooth? She can alway transfer it to mine. Since she is on that one.

The only way the Honda will use OnStar is if she adds an aftermarket unit to it. The OnStar FMV mirror is about $300+ installation. OnStar and Bluetooth are two entirely different things. Bluetooth is the technology used to communicate wirelessly between the car and your phone. It can not make calls without a phone. Not sure if those minutes can be transferred to a different owner like yourself.

Yeah that's what I thought.

Well she is the owner of the Xlr. I just am the primary driver. So she could possibly transfer the minutes.

If she has any months left on her OnStar subscription she should also be able to transfer that to the XLR along with the unused minutes.

She had 7$ left Onstar.
