2013 XLR Bowling Green Plant Homecoming - Sept 28th, 2013

Bruce does this rule also apply to Saturday Car show???

As a Kentucky native I can safely say that shoes are not required in most public places & babies on your hip are an accessory, that goes for some areas in Tennessee too.😳

(Wink) Of course I wear shoes and no room for babies in any of my buggies and my hips wouldn't take that abuse!

HI Bruce,

Any more spots opening up on the tour?
I could use 2 tickets. I will only be able to check my emails in the evening.
We are leaving this morning.

Kevin

Be @ the plant for the 8:30 am tour, we will find spots for you both.

For those of you who haven't yet paid for your plant tours, you can pay either Thursday night or on Friday. The tour spots are $20 each.

Dave has also dug up some XLR/Cadillac goodies for you all to purchase. He will have a table set up with "For Sale" items on Saturday during the car show. All of the money goes to the charities.

I will be bringing along some of the past event dash plaques for some of you who might want to add to your collection.

One last reminder for those using I-65 or I-70 thru Indianapolis on your way to Bowling Green.
Those Interstates are closed for major construction thru end of October. You will have to use the I-465 loop to bypass. They are closed at the downtown split.

Halfway to BG & we keep getting the same questions when we stop: "I hear Cadillac is coming out with new models - is this it?" Answer: "No, they stopped making these in '09." "WHY???!!!" :(

So Cadillac has successfully gotten the "new model" word out, but everyone thinks it's our beloved red-headed stepchild!

See everyone tomorrow. We hope to catch up with Grandaddy XLR Caddy & ald42 tonight, and then bring 2 filthy XLR's (half our trip was in the rain) to BG tomorrow!

detailer

The auto detailer should be @ the Hilton Garden Inn around 4:00 pm Thursday. Look him up if you want your ride cleaned after your drive to BG. He should be there on Friday & Saturday morning.

There is a chance your XLR will get some bugs on it Friday evening on our drive, if this is a concern of yours, you may want to stay in BG for dinner.

Photo Mom & myself are heading out tomorrow morning. Looking forward to seeing all of you in Bowling Green!

We are leaving Nashville! See those who are at The Host hotel in a few hours!

Great time!

Having a GREAT time so far...love seeing all of the beautiful XLRs in the caravan this morning. I think everyone enjoyed the tour of the plant. Getting ready for the NCM tour & then we'll drive out to Barren River State Park for dinner. Wonderful friends, new & old!

Devin and I just pulled into the Courtyard... Found a nice parking spot by a couple of XLRs. Looking forward to seeing everyone in the morning. :)

A few photos from the parking lot of our host hotel, taken Friday afternoon.
