XLR Gathering in Colorado 2010

If anyone is interested in shipping extra clothes, etc. to the Hampton Inn, I spoke with Stacy & that is fine to do. If you want your stuff to arrive BEFORE you check in, just put your name and the word "Guest" and your confirmation # on the shipping label. If your items arrive AFTER you have checked in, they will call your room to let you know your package has arrived. I already have the address of places to ship your items back home.
ATTN: Ruth Ann, a shipping center is located within a mile of the Cheyenne Mountain Resort.

On the way home tonight, we stopped by The UPS Store & sent a 30 lb. box to CO Springs. Box should be there by Tuesday!

CO dash plaques

Bruce called & checked on the dash plaques; they should be waiting on us at the Hampton.

Unfortunaly we will be missing capturing you wearing that "special jersey"

You know... if you stop in on your way down, I'll let you take a picture with me wearing the "special" jersey. We could go to a local brew pub and get some pictures taken... PM me if you want our address.

Colorado Event Shirts

The events shirts are in--and in my opinion they are awesome!! See everyone sometime Sunday afternoon, drive safe!!!

T minus 2 hours!

Lot's of last minute details .... and we're outta here!

See you all very soon now! :rocker:

Ready to Roll

I was able to get the yard mowed between rain storms.

Our dash plaques have been shipped and are waiting for us in CS.

We will be leaving early tomorrow morning... can't wait to get to CO. See you soon!

I think we are bring great weather with us - it is 105 here in Laughlin - no not hot .... it's a "dry heat"

Uneventful, little traffic - well, Lola has been complaining about hi pressure in one of her rear tires ... we are going to check them out in the morning .... seems the road got a little hot for her.

We leave here and will meet Jetboy in Flagstaff, on to Albuquerque to see Jim and Jean at the Route 66 Casino ...

Ray only broke the barrier once ... :squint:

You guys have a good trip. I wish we were going with you. Knowing the group goung I'm sure it will be a blast.

86 Today, dry and lots of wind, sky is full of dust. Next seven days are to be dry. Guess winter coats won't be needed but jackets are always good for night time and also in resturants as like all other places they keep the AC way too cold.

Had a good visit with Rod and Cindy, th
anks
again. It is to bad you could not join us s
pending the night in Casper

We had a GREAT time meeting you and June as well...
When I said Cheyenne was about 5 hours... I guess I was actually was thinking Casper (sorry).

We're here! We're all here!
Everyone looks great, the cars look spectacular .... even the "loaner" XLR! Everyone's car is clean, checked in, wined and dined ..... great weather here ... shirt-sleeve night ... perfect .... :rocker: and especially nice that everyone arrived almost at the same time!

Y'all who didn't come are missing what looks to be a really memorable time.... thank you everyone for making Ray and I feel so welcome ... it is nice to meet several new people this time too ...

Thanks Cubby and Little Woman for making us at home in your suite ... waiting for Rich (might be awhile ... ;)) to post a few pictures.....

See you all tomorrow morning ...!

Nite'

Boy, everyone must be having FUN in Colorado Springs. It hasn't been THIS QUIET since... well, let's see... guess it's been about a year; yea, that's it... since LAST YEAR'S RENDEZVOUS in San Antonio.

Hope your having a couple :beerchug::beerchug: in memory of those that are home slaving away!!!

You need to get into the 21st century. Supa worked this morning from the suite and then joined in on the fun. Been having a wonderful time--too much going on to post pics. Went to the Air Force Academy today--it's graduation week, the town is buzzing!! Had a great dinner tonight, met new friends and are now back having a night cap. Have our new local friends and First Robin as tour guides tomorrow. Should be a great time with our great friends!!!!

Really Rod .... it IS all fun and games ...
There is going to be a zillion pictures ... when someone gets the time or catches their breath ...
Wish you were here too ... you would love it.

The itenery that Supa and Bruce talked about for the next few times is more dizzying than the altitude .... :willy_nilly: This is great ... so informal .... we are all just doing our thing either together or on our own .... but lot's to choose from.

I've already heard chatter about "next year's" cruise ... :rocker:

It's beautiful weather here ....
There are graduating USAF Cadets and their families everywhere - they look wonderful in their uniforms ... congratulations to all of them ... and thank you. :worship:

Really nice dinner last night .. we got to know Quinny and Diamond Del much better - makes us want to go see WI .... met some new forum members ... it's been really nice ...

'Can't thank everyone enough for thier leadership and participation - I say this every year and it is the truth .... this is the greatest group ever.

Re next year's cruise .... don't know what the majority will do .... but wouldn't it be fun to take a real Alaskan Cruise??? :blinzel:

Don't worry CD - the MM's will def keep you in the loop.

Hope you all have a nice day - wish all of you reading could be here too.
