I'm not so concerned about me, it's her I don't want out in the heat! :chuckle

FireFox loves the heat, it's the humidity I'm concerned about. High here was 95 and so was the humidity. :( Trunk didn't want to open cause the seals were all wet.

Great day here today!!! High of 97. But the heat index was 115!! It was sooo muggy out side! Walked outside from my NICELY A/C's house, and my glasses would fog up instantly!!

.... Summer came knocking yesterday .... :squint:

Okay - I've had enough of "summer" - can someone please make it go away ....

Been rather warm up here as well... 90's last week, 97 on Friday. 80 this weekend though, a reprieve and lovin'
it . But... it is a dry heat in comparison to yours...

Finally we are getting some rain here in Arizona. With the tempts being in the hundreds and then humid its bid to much.:ugh:

Speedway:wave::wave::wave:

We had some strong storms come through last night... tornado sirens went off around 11:00pm - family gathered to the basement for a bit. After all was quieter, we went to bed - but the rain and wind was still blowing very strong. One of the strongest storms I remember for quite some time. But no damage. Chicago getting 95+ temps (105+ with heat index due to the humidity) today and tomorrow. UGH! :willy_nilly:

Cooler weather coming by Sunday, though. Stay cool everyone! :rocker:

Our weather better stay as nice as it is for LinSue's visit in August ... I want her to see San Diego is all of it's glory ..... I wish I could bribe Mother Nature :D August is such an IFfy month .... I can remember the day my oldest grandboy was born ... it rained and it was terribly hot/humid ... I hate August - it's my least favorite month.

Dave, on a visit I had to my Uncles right there around East St. Louis .... it was in June ... and the sirens went off .... Of course me and my sister had never heard them before - we thought they were the "bomb" threat sirens practicing like the one's we had in the late 50's .... you know, when people were in a panic that we might be bombed and some people even built "bomb shelters" in their yards .... My uncle was not the least bit ruffled, he just turned on the TV and watched the weather news .... he said if the tornados got any closer we would go down into the basement. Well, they didn't - I think it just was raining a little .... and we didn't get to go down to the basement. I love basements ... the ones that I have been into are like "surprise" rooms ... cozy, some very livable, some made for storage - some a combination ... they are VERY rare here, and always such a treat for me ... I've never seen a basement MATCH a house ... I love them. And they are cool ..... blessedly cool. If I had one I'd probably mole up in one and never come up ;)

 Too Funny!

I lived in OKC for a while and missed the big tornado by 1 day (actually only hours, I was on my way to Italy with a layover in New York when I heard). My house, cars, friends back there not so lucky. I planed to be gone for a year and there was nothing I could do and no real reason to cancel. My neighbors knew I was gone and helped clean up my property.

When was this? You lost everything in a tornado? I am so sorry to hear this! I only knew one other person who lost personal property in a tornado, and that is XLR Ken ... a few years back ... He was so lucky. I hope no one you knew was hurt .... and that they had time to reach safety. Really, so sorry ...

I lost half my roof, one car was thrashed by flying debris, the funnel came within 2 blocks of my house (and we're talking a tornado that was a quarter mile across). Many friends did lose everything.

The humidity is unbelievable and it will be the hottest day so far this year, tomorrow...can't wait.

I hope everyone is staying cool.

Hottest day in three years here tomorrow. The suit and tie are gonna make it an uncomfortable drive from work tomorrow. Think I'll throw a wrench in the works and wear sandals with it.

Didn't hit 100 one day in July... first year that has happened since 1993. August is starting out in the high 80's. Just BEAUTIFUL top down weather!!!

Thats sounds like fun. The weather here sucks right now but our best times will be coming soon. By the way how is Cindy doing ? Has she fully recovered?
