On the bright side, they could run boat drag races until the waters receed.:dunno:

Rainy in Chicago

Pouring rain this morning here in Chicagoland. Took wife to the airport early morning; I hope her flight off to CT gets off. She isn't used to flying to begin with, let alone in bad weather.

I think the rain is supposed to go a bit into the weekend, but I hope we get some sunshine as well.

Have a great Friday everyone - and a better weekend. :beerchug:

Rain Rain go away!!!!!

Hey! It worked! Clouds are still here ... but the rain stopped and the roads are drying up.

Thanks Supa. :worship:
Hey no problem. :D:D Mother Nature is afraid of me. :chuckle:chuckle

The sun keeps showing up a little bit. It's partly cloudy here and man oh man a little windy.

Same here. Very windy and cold. What a change in temps.
About froze my butt off at Jared's soccer game this morning. But lucky me, Jared volunteer'd me to carry the flag and be a line judge. At least I got to run up and down the sidelines to say warm. Only 40 degrees! 2nd week of MAY? This is nuts! Spotty rain most of the day. Should stop by evening.
Have a great weekend everybody.

Is summer getting closer? The boys only have a couple of weeks left of school, Memorial Day is right around the corner, and sunny with mid 70's here in Chicago for several days!

Washed the XLR tonight - some nice top-down weather.

Hope our weather follows us to Colorado Springs, it's supposed to be mid to high 80's Sat. and Sunday!! Come on summer!!!!:cool:

Cottonwood Seeds

Now that those heavy storms rolled through the midwest this past weekend - I'm hoping they have taken care of ALL of the COTTONWOOD seeds from my trees (last week looked like an inch of snow in the yard). Messy trees, but they sure do grow big and fast and provide nice shade on my property.

I hope the MM's were all safe and sound after those thunderstorms.

I don't know about you Chicago Dave but I am sick of the rain. Saturday was crazy and we got stuck driving in it. It was nothing but a down pour and you could barely see in front of you. We made it home safe and sound just very very slowly. :(

The storms missed us, but a tornado went through around Grissom Air Base (in the northern third of Indiana). My brother & his family live by the base; the tornado missed the house by a half mile.

Glad to hear you are okay, the tornado in Streator wasn't very far from you. They showed the damage on tv, pretty sad.

There was one in Streator and one in St Anne. Both towns are pretty close to us.

They are prediciting more storms tomorrow.
