I spoke with Quinn today and her and Dave have offered to share the secrets they learned while in Key West.
They include eating, drinking and doing nothing. It's not as easy as it sounds. There will be homework.

A note about the Fredericksburg Loop trip at the towns of Gruene and Fredericksburg.

I contacted the Conversion and Visitors Bureaus in these towns about our visit there on 22May. I discussed with them their restaurant options and parking for our babies.
Gruene has large parking lots behind the “Gruene General Store” located by main roads The stores open about the time that we arrive so they felt that parking together would be no problem.
Fredericksburg is willing to rope off a area in the CVB parking lot which is located a block or so from Main St. This will be great considering that people may be arriving at different times based on where they stop at along the way.

The CVB also recommended restaurants in the area the following is a list I’m looking at.
In Gruene http://www.gruenetexas.com/ the Gristmill Mill Restaurant located in a old scenic building along the river. They have a wide variety of dished from burgers to steaks at fairly reasonable prices. They will give us a reservation and seat us together if we arrive to eat by 11:15am or otherwise it is first come first serve.

In Fredericksburg they have a couple of options one is a Small German place called Der LindenBaum @ http://www.derlindenbaum.com/ or the German Micro Brewery called Fredericksburg Brewing Co. http://www.yourbrewery.com/ check out their sites.

The Fredericksburg CVB also gave me a link to their homepage http://www.fredtexflavors.com/ there are a lot a interesting things on this site about the area.

Thanks for all the research work, Dale. My mouthis watering wanting to get there now.

Picked up the V tonight--in the rain Only had to drive 2 mile though, so I got it hosed down and dried off. Garage is a mess from winter, so no pics. Will take it to work tomorrow and hopefully get pics to post in the afternoon.

RIV looks to be a great get together, you are all doing a wonderful job--Professor, RA, Standby, Dale. Can't wait to see you all again

Dale, now I have to get to work finding a nice place on the gulf and I have been calling different lunch venues but will post when I get some numbers of folks taking the gulf drive. It's all about the numbers to these restaurants
