I'm starting to accumulate a file of information on the various cars I've looked at online. (I'm compulsive about car records.)
I was thinking I could use this to do some registry updates, because in some cases I now have newer information on the car than the registry does--current mileage, service history, offered for sale by such and such a dealer at $price, date sold, etc.
But the update form that pops up seems to assume that the owner is the one doing the updating. Is there a rule that only the owner can do this? Or is there a way to update on cars you don't own?
