Fall Drive 2009

No I would not be ready either. We did not even have a summer as far as I am concerned. We have rain again! Sick of that too but it was needed. Hope it's sunny for the drive tomorrow. Have a good weekend. :D

I keep tellin' you .... San Diego.... why do you think so many people vacation here???? 72 and sunny ....

On the road again

I just talked to Bruce and he said everyone is on the road to Indy. See everyone tomorrow morning!

Maybe when we retire??? Actually, I think I'd miss the changing of the seasons too much.
It's only 18 degrees here today... had 2" of the white on the ground when I got up this morning. 9 degrees tonight and 9 degrees as a HIGH tomorrow... 8 tomorrow night. Back up to 60 by Thursday next week. But, that's Montana for you.
Maybe (hopefully??) we'll still have some time to enjoy the car before the snow flies (and stays)...

And you would miss all of that???:willy_nilly::confused:
Send me pictures when the season's change ... that'd do it for me.

I'm with you. Calif, or Fl. is for me weather wise. You guys have many problems out there but I would love the weather. We havn't seen a night below 40 yet but I am almost ready for summer again. If I never see another winter again it would suite me fine. When I retire in 7 years we will be to Florida the next week, But until then, the cost of living is low here, I have a great job crime is very low,and other than winter it is a great place to live.

See you all in Madison at 11:30. I'm driving the 3 wheeler (ther one with the wings) and will be at the airport.

You're right ... the people in the MidWest are awesome ...
But FL --- too much humidity, alligators and bugs.
Come out here and we'll drive tops down 300 days a year! Remember .... you get what you pay for!

Depends where in Florida RA. Apopka has maybe one or two days out of 365 that you may notice humidty. There is always a nice breeze either from the Ocean or the Gulf. I spent 10 winters in Florida, some of those winters were almost all year there and a week back in Colorado. I love Florida except for the hurricanes which I sat through four in one year. so far as bugs, I never had a problem with bugs, you spray the perimeter of the exterior of the house and twice a year you treat the lawn and wella, no bugs. If my daughter hadn't begged me to come back to Colorado full time I would probably still be going back and forth to Florida. I may head that way this winter.

I know you like it there .... I hope you have a great time this winter .... I have friends who live there and they love it there .... but, it is not San Diego - I am partial to the Blue Pacific. That's my lure. I think you like Colorado pretty much too ....
You know ... Home is where the heart is. Mine is here. :blinzel:

I'm talking about those flying bugs ... you know the Love Bugs and the 'skeetrs .....

Looking forward to meeting you both. Drive real careful and we'll see you in Indy.

I'm guessing all of you are in Indy now, :party-ing!
The question I have is do you eat the donuts with the beer?

Have fun you guys.
Call me if you get bored .... or wild!

Car show in Del Mar tomorrow .... Also Detail Guys BD, so a little celebration tomorrow night ... :beerchug::bar00:
'Will be waiting for pictures - you girls, watch the martini intake .... haha, stick to WINE!
xxoo

Just a few more pics: 1) The cars at Clifty House 2) Big Clifty Falls 3) Supa and MissyBling being Supa and MissyBling 4) Rich and Cathy 5) MissyBling and Daisy.

Wonderful Trip!

George, Thanks for posting your pictures, they are great.

We had a wonderful weekend. Thanks everyone for joining us and making the trip so much fun. Supa, thanks for the goodie bags and the entertainment. Our new members were a lot of fun and fit in great. Hopefully they will spend some time with us here and on some future trips.

The falls @ Clifty Falls State Park were really flowing due to all of the rain in the area this past week.

Kris' new Camaro is beautiful and fits her perfectly. Her son Josh was a riot.:rocker:

Dinner @ KWSH was wild to say the least. They really seemed to enjoy our rowdy group and were sad to see Josh, Supa and MissyBling leave.

I will post some pictures soon. Thanks again, you guys are the best.:worship:

A big thank you to Paula for the gift...it was very thoughtful.

It was nice meeting all of the new people. I hope everyone can join us at our next gathering.

Deb and I just got home to Ohio. What a great trip. Thanks to Bruce and Rich for putting this together. Also a special thanks to Lockhart Cadillac for sponsoring this event. We really enjoyed meeting everyone in the group. Written words about past events cannot capture all of the personalities in this group. Thank you all for making feel so welcome.

Dave & Deb

Windi and I just made it back from Madison. What a blast. Great group of people and a great place. Thanks Bruce and Rich for all you did. I case anyone wondered what happened to us on the final drive, We had to stop for a bathroom break, It was an emergency, so we pulled of the road on a side street, everyone passed, and when we took off we got to a T intersection. As you can guess we turned left instead of right, No cell service, and got lost. The gps in the car said 63 miles to Osgood back the way we came. So I pressed Go Home and It took us back through Madison, where we had cell service. We had fun there as we hit a couple winery's and ate lunch at a great restaurant on the river. I hope everybody made it home safe and we look forward to seeing everyone again

Hey gang! Devin & I made it back home fine (little traffic snare on i-65, but not bad). I cannot tell you how excited Devin was... I heard about it ALL the way home! I, too, had an awesome time! It was great to finally DRIVE my XLR like it was meant to be driven. Thank you Bruce, Kathy and Rich for putting together an amazing experience for me and my son. We will never forget it. Thanks to ALL of you for being such wonderful people and creating friendships that will last a long, long time! We look forward to being able to join all of you on another exciting roadtrip. But until then, we'll stay in touch via the forum.
Thanks again, everyone!!!

Cubby and I made it home safe and sound. Thank you Bruce, Kathy, and Rich for putting together another great event. It was great meeting new people and seeing the regulars. Thank you Paula and Bob for the beautiful gifts. Thanks George for posting pics already. Had a blast with Josh, he is a nut. More great memories made. Thank you everyone for the participation and we hope this event will keep growing. Sorry you guys went to bed early and wasn't up at 2:30 am when Supa was ready to go. Maybe next time. :D I don't know if the KWSH will ever let me, Josh and Missy Bling back in again. :dunno:

That's why you need to get the FRS radio or whatever it's called. We did wonder what happen to you guys. :D

Next time we will have radio's. when we got to switzerland we hit the T and turned left. went about 5 miles and realized it was the wrong way. I always depend on the Iphone but I never had no service for 15 miles straight. we didn't get service till we saw the river. by then we didn't want to hold everyone up. We sure had a blast though. I was up waiting for you at 2:30. Unfortunately I also was at 3:30 and 4: 30 too. See you next time. WITH RADIO'S.
