Fall Drive 2009

Looks like we will hang with the gang (seeing a chance of rain, don't want to risk a "raincheck within season" - don't know when we'd get to get down there before the winter). Looking forward to the trip!

Being a newbie, is there anything I'd need to bring (other than what we need for the overnight trip)?:dunno:

:D

It looks like it will be cool both days, so everyone will want to make sure they have a warm jacket. I'm sure Kris will have atleast 4 with her.

I finished Sunday's driving directions last night. The directions are from Madison to Osgood. We can decide if we are going anywhere else after lunch on Sunday.

Deb and I will be there!

Yes but they are giving me a car, and Marc is maybe going to Terre Haute (I think) so it may be a pain to even try it. If it gets possible then maybe. He thought I was having him take me and do the drop off /pick up. But now he does not have to.It's just such a far drive home then to turn around and come back! :dunno: We will see!

You will be up that way picking up your car.

Being the newbie the only thing the new guys have to bring is the Beer.:laugh::laugh::chuckle

I might join everyone for dinner in Indy, but I still haven't figured out my travel plans. I'll keep you updated.

PARTICIPANTS: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING!

SPECIAL NOTE ON THE ZIPLINE TOUR:
PLEASE post if you want to go on it! We have had a couple of people commit, but only a couple. Should we kill the stop? We can easily have 2 groups of cars - one who "ziplines", one who doesn't.

If you have a FRS (Family Radio System) radio(s), please bring it/them. We have a large group! Radios are great for keeping in touch on the road! Please be sure batteries are fresh!

BRING: Cameras, comfortable shoes, your favorite beverage/maybe a snack to share on Saturday night at the hotel.

BE SURE:
-To have a FULL TANK of gas on every departure with the group!
-To help out any newbies
-To be ready for a great trip and to make new friends

Thanks for reading this! See you all SOON!!!!

Thank you Mr. President. Kevin and I won't be doing the zipline. There is a chance of rain I believe and with the no refund policy I don't think we want to take the chance. This is just my opinion but maybe that stop should be killed. I guess it is up to the couple that have signed up. JMO.

XLR8r3838 and son were the only ones who were seriously thinking about the zipline, but they're rethinking it due to the weather and limited time to get a "raincheck" used. The weather outlook is getting better though- a high of 60 on Saturday as well as Sunday with a 0% chance of rain either day! :rocker:

Thanks for the Info Rich. All great suggestions. Let us know about Friday. I hope everybody is looking forward to this weekend, I know we are.

On the Zip line, we were up in the air :laugh:on that one. Can't get a yes or no from Marc. If no one else decides to do it then that is fine. Marc did not see how we could fit it in. It takes a while to get the whole thing done. At least 2 hours I would think. Not sure on this one! Not sure my back will hold up, but I can't walk anyway so what is it gonna hurt!!:naughty: I have Kathy to sit with me now! So I guess I am saying we are ify...:dunno:

Just a thought. For those of us that have them I think we should bring our badges/name tags with us. It might be helpful for everyone to get everyones names. Cubby and I are bringing ours from RIV. I don't know about everyone else but I can be terrible with names. Just a thought. :dunno:
