Do you see XLRs??

I had Roxy out today to go to my Dr, Appt. Went to Walmart to pick up my prescriptions it was not ready yet so I went back out and sit in the car and I noticed this caddy backing out looked like an XLR AND SURE ENOUGH IT WAS!
Could not tell other then red from all the salt and dirt splattered all over it. All well some people don't love the XLR LIKE I DO!! Lol

Today, in the early afternoon I spotted what I thought was a black one headed NW towards Venice FL on 41 while I was headed out of Venice, divided road, no chance to turn around for a mile or so etc. It was among a few other cars so I only got a brief look before I realized it was Black Cherry as the sun flashed off of it as it went by, but I did not see it well enough to tell if it was V or not and I assume it is a 2009 as that is the only year for Black Cherry ( I believe) unless a repaint.

Then a couple hours later I saw a Black one, top up in Port Charlotte, again not a close enough look to be more specific. We were sitting on the deck of a bar and Steve had his back to the road when I announced 'black XLR' and he asked if the top was up! Apparently he sees a black one often in the area with the top up.

How come I never see these when I am in a position to stop and see the owner or give chase etc?

I sure would love to have mine down here but I cant have everything.......can I?

05 Grand daddy I would be so embarrassed I think his next stop would be the car wash. My dad always said that salt left on cars will start eating away at the car if you don't get it off right away. I was embarrassed the other day. I had so much pollen and debris on my baby. Because she's been sitting out for going on 3 months now. I actually took the hose and hosed the car off. But I couldn't get to my car wash MIT because it's buried. Hope the contractors will get their crap out of my garage today. They are going to get a ear full if they don't. Most of the cutting and wood is done. So they should atleast get their tools out and boards. :Geez:

But like I mentioned in the beginning with us being is this same type biz we would of ordered in a pods or storage container for items storage use, your Ins Co. would of paid for this and you then would not of had to give up your garage area unless it was your choice to let them use your area!!! Even then they could did there cutting in there and just clean up and put there tools away so you could use your garage at night time after they left for the day! At least then your baby would be in a safe area at night!!! Thank goodness there almost done!

Yeah I know. But the mold people already left. Now it's the contractors that are doing this on the side. He works for the association and anytime they get a call from a rental person. They run and do that because they are priority. Hopefully by next week I'll have the garage back. When they leave I'll find my electric blower and blow out the saw dust and anything else that's loose. I usually do that anyway every other week or so.

I'm sure I'll see one on the road soon, but my girl friend saw one two weeks ago, but she was too late in taking a picture. The only two XLR's I see in town which are the same color as mine, but I can't seem to synchronize mine on the road with the other two. It's always me in my work car.

The same as before which is always in Fresno. It appears that there's tons of them in that town, also in Bakersfield California, and many of them in along the coast. As I mentioned earlier in this thread there's three of them with the same color in town. I took some pictures of one but I have to find the pictures to post them here.

I saw this nice one in a neighborhood I frequent around 2:30 pm on the 8th of march. That's because it's my sisters neighborhood. It's a 06 infrared and spotless. Except for the pollen.

I saw a sliver XLR on El Camino Real in Burlingame, Ca today. I was on the blutooth talking and spotted the car nearly a block away before we passed each other going the opposite direction. I was headed north bound and he was going south bound with the top up. He was sporting a white cap and gray/silver beard. The car appeared to be dirty and in need of a wash, but overall it looked good. The time was 15:12hr.

This weekend five of us met at Amelia Island. On Saturday we attended the car show at the Ritz and then the Festival of Speed car events at the Omni.
Sunday was the big time Concours d'Elegance at the Ritz. We saw more awesome cars than I could begin to digest. Bob and Gayle Walker; Eric and Betsy (Unionrunner and Coach) and I had an awesome weekend.

On Saturday there was a red 09 XLR with cashmere interior (Florida plate) on display at the Ritz golf course showing. It was the only XLR being showcased. We did see 4 other XLRs over the course of the weekend; another red 09 with cashmere interior (Georgia plates) and one silver; one black; and another red.
Five (5) XLRs in two days of car events--and none of us brought ours along.

Absolutely no plans this weekend so Roxy scheduled for a complete make over! Got a clay towel to give it a try! Then a Zanio's super shine, clean the interior, condition the leather and shampoo the carpet plus a few more add ons! Want to add a 12 volt charger socket in the trunk area also adding 2 more LED lights in the trunk area for brighter nighttime lighting!And if I got enough time give the engine compartment a shine up too! Wow I'm tried just talking about it.....
