Ugg I can't go to the dealership without someone asking me if I want to sell.

This time it was a customer who was in a office next to my service guys office. She asked if I was willing to sell, I said no I'm having to much fun with this ride. Then she asked what yr it was. So I told her. As I got in the drivers side to drive away I heard her say she was looking for one. I think it was either for her or a friend.

Hard top convertible made soft???

In contrast, I offer this. At first I thought they had replaced the hard top completely. :ugh: Not quite up my alley ....

Ugg 2 no no's. 1 soft top no. The other is the wing. But that's my 2 cents. Maybe some one likes. But not me

Dealer "Hot list" used cars

New approach by the dealers - we've been getting mailings from dealers saying they want various of our cars. Now they're calling & saying the car is on their "hot list" of used cars & they want to appraise it to see if we'll sell it. Already got a call for the XLR-V. Today I'm taking my base CTS coupe in for service, got a call last night that it's on the used car hot list & they wanted to appraise it to see if they could buy it while I was there. Nice try ... it's not going anywhere for a long, long time.

No calls on Beauty yet, guess that'll be next.

I was thinking/debating of talking to my sales guy just to see what my Xlr is worth. But then I thought, [emoji52] and if I ask him then he'll need to ask his boss. Then that'll start a chain reaction that I'll never be able to stop. So I have decided to do what gizmo does/says. 3rd engine, many new parts, 300 k miles on clock and here is the shocker. $500,000.000. Hey I might get that price if our rides are so hot and in demand

It's all a sales gimmick! Been doing that here for years. If it's so hot you tell them your price see what they say.

Yeah, it's a bunch of bunk. When they called on the V, we said we wanted "stupid money," & defined that as $90k (so we could get another one & have $$$ to play with!). They haven't called back ...

Have you ever wave at a Corvette and the driver waved back then watch him/her look back to see exactly what kind of car you're in?

I seem to have confused a few C7 drivers lately.

Reminds me of the looks on a lot of faces when a string of XLRs rolled into Funfest where there were thousands of Corvettes.

I agree, the XLR's are a rare breed in my area. I've only see three others in my area plus mine, in a two year period so far. None of them were a V, just the base model.

You probably got the same response if anyone picked you "intruders" out in the Vette magazine spread on Funfest.

Did you pick up a new ride Phrede?

No, just car sitting for a friend.

These two have similar performance, but show different approaches on how to get there. It's an 911 (996) Turbo X50. I can dream when I see them both in my driveway.
