My XLR/V(s)
2004xlr
I see a couple xlr's on the forum with the c6 wheels on their ride and think they look awesome. I've been researching sizes and haven't been able to get a straight answer from anyone unfortunately. Can anyone that has them please chime in on what exact size they have, or at least let me know what happen when they were installed detailed. The terms I'm familiar with is inner fender, outer fender, and clearance to the calipers. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!:)

I have the Z06 polished chrome wheels from Corvette Wheels by Wheel Replicas, Z06, C6 on my 2006 XLR. They are mounted on the OEM Michelin run flat tires, and they were a direct fit. I will try to find the invoice and post the size and p/n.

Black C6 Replica wheels from Tire Rack

I bought mine from Tire Rack almost 2 years ago... they are discontinued now. Here is the info I have on them:

18 x 8.5 5-4.75 ET56 SE C6 Running non-OEM Goodyears
235/50ZR -18 GOODYEAR EAGLE GT

Bolted right on.

Good luck.

Thanks for the responses. Chicago Dave what is the offset front and back? What kind of clearance is there now? Do you have room to put bigger brakes like the z06 brakes.

I believe Chicago Dave listed the size above 2 threads and I believe the backspace is the last numbers et56:willy_nilly:

I went with the Basic OEM Corvette 18X8-1/2 z-06 wheel and it was a perfect fit.
I think they are 1/2" wider but you can't tell.
Being that the XLR is based on the Corvette, it'll be a direct fit.
They look AWESOME!!
Anybody wantin' a photo, drop me an email,....>JBAIRD1@bak.rr.com<

I've been keeping an eye on C6 wheels locally as a possible upgrade for my XLR. I've read a bunch of threads on the subject, but just wanted to confirm if these would fit:

18x8.5 front and 56 offset
19x10 inch rear and 72 offset

Based on everything I've read I don't think they will fit, but I wanted to confirm here.

Thanks,

C-6 Wheels

The "FRONT" C-6 18" wheels are 1/2" wider and are basically a direct "Bolt-On fit.

I stayed with this specific wheel, as to be able to rotate my tires.

As a friend told me, "The XLR is a Cadillac, NOT a Corvette".

IMHO, Although the XLR wheels look good, the C-6 Wheels look much better.

You can also obtain PLAIN, (Less Corvette Logo) center caps on E-BAY at a reasonable price.

1bad xlr on this site has the corvette wheels and exact size on his car and I had the same questions and he said that they fit. He said their was minor rubbing on the inner plastic on the rear but was nothing. I believe he said the biggest tire was a 265 forgot the profile. All GM rims have the size and offset stamped on the back of rim and I believe the rear 19/10 has a 74 offset not 72. I'm gonna get a set before summer can't decide on the 5star,split 5 star. Chrome or black chrome? I have the xenon blue or dark blue and either color rim would look awesome just can't decide. If you have a problem with rubbing in the rear. I've seen on eBay under corvette they sell 1/4 spacers with the right hub centric. When I bite the bullet you guys will be the first to know. Good luck

Set of C6 Z06 wheels 18x9.5 front & 19x10 rear wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza 245/40R18 front & 265/35R19 rear. If you need more information on the wheels as far as offset, I can give you a phone number, i dont remember it offhand.
Rears do rub slightly in the back with this setup against the inner fender well. By the time I got home, I could see the groove it left the the fender well and so I took the wheels off and lightly sanded the plastic down. Easy fix, no more rubbing.
I wouldn't change it if I did it again, I love the staggered look of both the wheels and the tire width's.
Cant wait to see yours with the new wheels! btw, I too contemplated which ones I wanted for the longest time, I almost went with the chrome ZR1 wheels.
hope this helps.

I've seen some local ads that suggest that 2011/2012 18" OEM Camaro wheels would fit the XLR, anyone have experience with Camaro wheels on the XLR?

Most likely not, the only stock wheels I've found that fit are corvette wheels. Anything else would have to get custom made because of the offset.

wow, finding staggered wheels that fit the XLR is challenging. Definitely a lack of knowledge at the local tire shops for fitting the XLR with new wheels :(

1BADXLR - so just to confirm, you were able, with some slight rubbing, to get "18x9.5 front & 19x10 rear wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza 245/40R18 front & 265/35R19 rear" to work on your XLR? I should be able to find a similar sized set of C6 wheels.

yes, you might have better luck asking them for a wheel to fit the corvette, since its the offsets that you need. like I said, i couldnt find anything but vette wheels to fit the xlr without having something custom made. Heres the place I went to out in florida, if you give them a call, they should remember my blue xlr a year back, they were in love with the wheels/xenon blue look I went for.

Your wish is but my command

The Z-06/7 "Front Wheels", are 56 Offset, (Same as XLR) and are only 1/2" wider, (8-1/2"). Perfek Fit.
I believe staggering may not be OK as the XLR was built for 18X8. (The XLR a little snug in the rear, because of the folding top as compared to the Corvette)
........as well as he advantage of tire rotation, (Front to Back, Back to Front). IMHO

(...and Yes, the do look awesome, I gottem',...better than the stock 7-spoke (IMHO again)

(By the way, I know of a set of these wheels that are Powder Coated Clear, that might be for sale in the near future!)

1BADXLR - I found these wheels/tires locally: CORVETTE C6 WHEELS AND TIRES LIKE NEW 18-19 - British Columbia Tires, Rims For Sale - Kijiji British Columbia Canada. and the sizes are P245/40R18 (front) and P285/35R19 (rear). The rears are a bit wider than yours, think there is any chance they will fit?

Staggered wheels such as those for sale have always been available, but I'm leery about the clearance issues.
Personally,.....IMHO,....I'm NOT a FIRESTONE Fan.
