That turquoise.... '57??? I'll take THAT one, please. :cool: Did they rent out the golf carts that day? Looks like a lot of walking ... a LOT of cars. Nice pictures - I always feel like I tagged along ... thank you.

Great pictures Bruce this event is so big and has such a reputation it is known throughout the world. I know all of you had a really great time wish we lived closer so we could have came along.:willy_nilly:

The '57 was beautiful,great color. The dark gray '58 was stunning. So many beauitful cars. That is the nice thing about this event, you see so many "old girls" that don't show up anywhere else. Hundreds turn out each year to have their Corvettes judged in hopes of receiving the coveted Bloomington Gold certification,hoping for Gold level. The owners don't know what level they got until they receive the paperwork on Saturday morning.

There is a lot of walking, it's a big place. Many people stay on the grounds @ the resort for the 4 days. It would be nice to stay close to the event next year.

It would of been great to have you with us. Maybe next year. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures.

As usual, AMAZING pictures, Bruce & Kathy. It was really great seeing you guys (Devin really enjoyed it ... I'm glad it was a nice enough evening to drive home with the top down ... Devin tends to not jabber too much because his voice gets horse :laugh:). I'm so glad Supa and Cubby also made it up. Always a pleasure to see Diamond Dave (NOW I know why you call him that... I noticed his license plates :pat:) and Cathy. And always good chatting with Bob too (another one of my Facebook buddies) :wave:.
Lets not wait too long in between ... Sept. is too long - we need some other gatherings this summer.

Kathy's looking into finding a hotel close to Pheasant Run for next years event, June 23-26.

:reddevil Little Woman picked up a few more names over the weekend;

Supa Gaga (thanks DD)

Sister Supa & Aunt Supa (both names can be used by Chicago Dave's son Devin when asked by his mom who he hung out with over the weekend):lol::lol:

Thank you Chicago Dave & Devin for the very cool travel mug that looks just like a Canon L-Series lens! It keeps me hydrated on my way to work!

Bloomington Gold

I have to say, Bloomington Gold was fun. I never saw that many Corvette's at one place....I loved the older girls, I remember them, they have a style all their own. It was great to see everybody that was able to be there and I loved the drive. Going up was great and then coming around Chicago on the way home was exciting to say the least. I am not used to paying the tolls...one more toll booth and I was running out of change. In the nick of time we came to 65 S and it was smooth sailing to Lowell where we filled up our cars, then headed South and got off on 26 E to Kokomo. Kathy and Bruce went that way with me so I didn't have to drive it alone. They are the best...we parted at US 31, they went South and I took 26 the rest of the way home. Looking forward to next year....hope the weather is just as good as this year...Can't wait to see you all again soon....

Jeanie - It was great seeing you. I'm so glad you were able to come up and join us for the show. It really was an amazing show - some absolutely gorgeous cars. We definitely need to make this an annual XLR-Net gathering. We all love our cars and love cars in general. Looking forward to you joining us again - fall drive? With Zoey?
Glad you had a nice drive home ... its nice that Bruce and Kathy take care of you so well.
Take care.
