• 08-30-2017:  Listed for sale on EBAY by the fourth owner in Braidwood, IL with 78,435 miles on the odometer. From the listing:  "** Flood Title ** Thank you for viewing our 2005 Cadillac XLR. We have a 100% satisfaction rating, and we intend to keep it that way. We bought this car right here on Ebay in February of 2015 from a private seller in the Fort Meyer's area of Florida. The car had 53,xxx miles on it. I had the car inspected by 3 different professionals and every one of them failed to notice flood damage; two separate Cadillac dealers, and a private mechanic that I have known for many years. Since we bought the car we have driven back to Florida twice, and to Huntsville Al. We have driven over 25k miles, and it rides smooth as glass. It has newer Good Year tires. Everything works as it should. It has a few minor scratches, but you really have to look to find them. Car includes both key fobs, owners manual, and window sticker. Buyer has seven (7) business days to come drive, inspect, and pay for vehicle. Our youngest will be graduating soon, and we are going to travel. We had our fun with it, and its time to sell."

The car was at a dealership that was flooded in 2013. This car had no water damage but the insurance company placed a salvage title on all of the vehicles in the dealer's lot. As a result, this car has a flood damaged title. We simply cleaned the car and took it to the Florida DMV in Sarasota. It was inspected, approved and passed and we were issued a flood damaged title in our name. The car is in beautiful condition and runs and drives perfectly with no issues. When we bought the car there were 34,000 miles on the odometer. During our ownership, we have driven it 21,000 trouble free miles."
