I have owned this XLR since January of 2016. I purchased it from the original owner. When I bought the car, it had about 48,000 miles on it. The original owner had several high end vehicles and took good care of it including replacing the magnetic shocks and seeing to all of it's scheduled maintenence.
The accident on the autocheck was caused by a vehicle that merged into my lane while I was waiting at a red light. The driver was in the oncoming lane and bumped into the driver's rear fender and wheel at approximately 15 mph. The damage was very minor. The XLR was not towed as it is reported; I drove it from the scene with no issues. All repairs were made by a reputable shop.
I had that same shop completely detail the interior and exterior of the vehicle and make a few modifications. I had the windows tinted along with the fog lights and the third brake light. I had a brand new front lower grille installed and I had them paint the upper grille black. I also installed a set of satin black American Racing rims with run flat tires. The hard top was also serviced, including reseting the computer hardware that runs the top and refilling the pneumatic fluid. I had them repaint the front bumper to clear any scuffs and rock chips as well.
