- 04-30-2016: Privately Owned by Sandra Gray (XLR Net Member: graytoad) of Mountsberg, Ontario, Canada with 17,044 kilometers on the odometer and one previous owner listed.
- 04-14-2013: From Sandra Gray: "Factory seven-split spoke style chrome wheels. I retained the original exhaust tips unique to the 2009 when I installed the Corsa exhaust. The car was traded back into the original selling dealer, I found on the internet, arranged its purchase thru a local dealer and I took delivery here in Canada on May 5/2011 with 7,650 miles (12,313 klms) on the odometer.
Car arrived from Bowling Green to the dealers on October 10/08 It was not recorded as sold until June 6th/09 and was listed as 40 miles on the odometer. It received it's new owner title on June 18/09.
From what I understood at the time of buying (from the research I had done) was the 7 Split Spoke Chrome Wheels were part of the weather veil package. When the car arrived and since my car also had the mesh wind restrictor, I had assumed the car had the weather veil package and that the owner had not returned the car cover when he traded the car in (which is the third item part of that W V package). So at the time I had called the dealership and spoke to the salesman who took the car in on trade and asked if he had any contact with the old owner and if he would consider providing me the cover which I would pay him for to keep the car complete. He said he would check but I never heard back. Now that I have the window sticker and build sheet I see that the car never left the factory with those wheels etc., so I am going to guess that since they had a difficult time selling the car with the downturn in the economy, that they added the chrome wheels etc to suit the eventual first buyer.
On March 31/11 it was traded back into the dealer by the original titled owner and listed as 6,900 miles. It was listed on the internet through AutoTrader.com where I found it in late March listed as 6,900 miles. When I talked to a salesman he said there were a few more miles as he said the general manager had driven it on a weekend trip, said there was around 7,500 miles but it was a 'cream puff' in immaculate condition. I actually had a local friend who is dealer swing the actual purchase deal for a couple of reasons. First, he had his import license and could get the car into Canada with less hassle than I and also there is always a 'dealer price' which is usually a bit less than they will retail as they do not have to deal with the end buyer etc. My dealer had to have the car certified for Canadian use which involves a slightly different front impact tolerance and therefore a change of the impact package underlying the front bumper. So he also drove the car a bit from his dealership to the certification place and back. So by the time I took delivery the car had the 7,650 klms as I reported.
