The Weather Channel

Started raining yesterday at about 4pm and was still raining when I left the house this morning at 5am.

I like the ark idea.........the lake out back is up over the bulkhead and still rising.

No mud in Santee (we don't live on the coast, but in a valley) .... just a steady rain ... just heard our local mountains got a couple of inches of snow .... I guess I know where we will be heading this weekend! :rocker: The rain is supposed to move out by 4pm ..... but Mark, I hope yours makes it down here .... the hills are getting so pretty turning green -

Glad to hear you have no mud. Just got off the phone with my realtor in Chandler, AZ she said it was pouring down rain there. The sun is out here, no snow, about fifty degrees today but is to turn cold tomorrow but the chances of snow will be slim, so says the weatherman.:blinzel:

They're probably celebrating in AZ ... ;)

Did your house close escrow?

We actually are looking at moving even more inland .... to a sort of farming community called Ramona .... going to look at homes tomorrow. I will still only be about 20 minutes from the kids .... But a MUCH bigger house .... Who knew when we 'down-sized' that 2 new grandbabies would be added to the family .... now we have to 'up-size' .... :pat:

I posted an update on the house a few minutes ago in the Daily Chat as I didn't want to get in trouble if I posted it on the Weather Channel. I need to get one of the de-coder rings so I know where to post things. You need to come further inland, like to AZ, that would give us three in the Phoenix area, wouldn't that be fun, three cars, four or more people.:chuckle:chuckle:chuckle

Weather man has changed his mind, now telling us snow will start @ 4:00 P.M. with up to 2 to 6 inches for Colorado Springs. Temps are going down later today to single digets. I was in hopes of being out of here before this.

Just started Snowing in Broomfield, CO... we're expecting 10 inches by tomorrow afternoon.

So I'm guessing you won't have the V out for a drive on New Years Day!!:lol:

Happy New Year anyway; the snow gives you a reason to get the Bourbon out!:laugh:

I may just drink my bourbon in the V in the nice warm garage...

If you do please make sure you post, I found your post the last time you were drinking bourbon very entertaining. :D

Started snowing four hours earlier than predicted and it is coming down pretty hard. Probably will get the six inches as predicted. Who knows, maybe even more, I am tired of it with just an inch on the ground. At least I got my errands taken care of before it started so I am in for the duration.

I woke up this morning to 40 degs. here in Lawndale, Ca.
That's pretty cold here by the west coast beach area.

Hope everybody had a Merry Christmas and wishing you and yours a Very Happy New Year. I just finished making a batch of 151 Proof Rum Balls for tomorrow night's party.:rocker:

Jack

I can remember celebrating the New Year and worrying about getting home in one piece when the snow would intrude on the celebrating back in NJ. Now, of course, don't have that kind of worry it'll be 78 tomorrow, but I don't bother going out anymore. Go figure. . .

Snow on the mountains 12 miles north of my house. Nice to look at on the drive home but glad it did not make it down here. Supposed to be below freezing the next two nights. Been busy picking citrus from the bag yard. Oranges and tangerines are all in but I have picked 12 bags of lemons and not even gotten half of it.

We got the snow ... but it was the wet, slushy stuff, so the news stations say no reason to go up to the mtns ...
I think we're about the same distance as you ... you know, when you come down I-8 into San Diego the snow can get as low as about 3200 ft. ... Pine Valley area ...
I bet the people you work with love you .... you take that citrus in with you? There's so much here it is falling all over the ground - makes me sick to see it all go to waste ... my neighbor has the BEST Ruby Red grapefruit in the world (yes, in the world!) ... her tree is loaded and she is the best sharer ....
The sky are blue and clear here - but it's like Jack says ... cold for SoCal ... we are all wearing sweatshirts at night ... nice days. Ray did not have to work on the ark today.

We got a bit of a 'heat wave' here, today and tomorrow..mid 40's today, close to 60 tomorrow with some rain. All our snow may be gone with this, but then it will start to turn cold Sat. & Sun. back to the 20's. If it gets too wet before it turns cold again, we will have a nice ice rink.:lol:
