I plugged in the tech 2 went to diagnostics then to suspension
then dtcs it told me I didn't have the candi modual hooked up so I put it in line between the tech 2 and the obd2 connector it tried to establish communication after awhile it said some gibberish and locked up I must be doing something wrong any advice will be appreciated. Also I have a drivers door speaker out do I have to stick with bose and where is the best place to get one
Thanks Bart
The 'Candi' module is a inline add on module for 2003 and newer GM vehicles using a CAN network.
Without the Candi module you are dead in the water.
A real Candi module is about $600. Lots of fake Tech2s and Candi modules on eBay. I would suggest most are Chinese fakes.
thanks for the info on the speaker.I do have the candi module hooked between the tech 2 and the obd2 connector power was on engine not running I will mess with it more when I have some timeSpeakers really should be replaced with like kinds especially on our system.

The CANDI module is required. Not sure what you're doing wrong. I would start over from scratch. Is the power on like the engine was running?
the light on the candi module was blinking I don't know if this means anythingI connect everything before I start my ignition, fire up the car, then power up the Tech 2. The CANDi module never misses a beat.

Thanks for the information CC....Al,
The best way to get a good response to your question(s) is to start a new thread, since this one is related to the Tech 2.
Start by opening up the Technical Discussion section and pressing the "Start a New Thread" link. Post a good description that will attract attention, and you're on your way. Besides making it easier for you (and others) to find and reply to, later on (in months, or years!) someone searching will have an easier time locating the information, rather than having it buried in a Tech 2 thread.

Ok CC will try to start a new thread...but don't knowWe all start somewhere when it comes to posting Al. I'll make you a deal: Start a new thread, copy and paste your questions, and I'll hit the books tonight and see if I can find an answer for you - unless some of the other knowledegable members beat me to it!
