National Corvette Homecoming 7/14-7/16/11

I'm pretty new here, but trying to figure it all out!! We are (tentatively) planning to come to Bowling Green in Apr., and are wondering what the weather is like then.

The National Corvette Homecoming in July 14-17, not in April. Their is, however, a group planning a trip to Charleston, South Carolina in April - here is the link to that thread in case that is what you are looking for.:dunno:

Thanks! The July Homecoming is when we are planning to go. The Apr. trip to Charleston sc looks like fun also.

I see you're in Napa Valley, CA... I know there will be several XLR's travelling from CA; maybe you can catch them (or maybe they'll have to catch you... not sure how fast you drive) and caravan along!!!

We are still discussing the details. Will see when the other Ca. XLR's are planning to leave. We would prob. take I-80 straight east. We traveled to Albuquerque nm several times in the past year and a half, and it was VERY hot through the Southwest desert in the summer months on I-40 (Route 66!). Definitely not topless weather! Usually run pretty fast on the Fwy!

Bowling Green will be .... as you said ....HOT! (Less to pack ;)).
We can DEFINETLY meet you in Albuquerque, if not before ... that will be an overnight stop for us - and hopefully we will pick up one, if not two cars there (Jean & Jim) ... we will already be hooked up with Jetboy coming from the Phoenix area .... Plan on going! After the holidays we will start posting much more about this trip.

Reservations made here at the Courtyard. July 14 -17.

XLR's at Bowling Green

Please tell me how to register for this event. I attended the ZR-1 Gathering with my V, last May.
I will certainly attend.

Hate to be stupid, but I'm not a vendor, nor is my car for sale, or show quality. I don't see any other categories to register for. I just want to attend and meet the folks, etc., etc.

Thanks, Rusty

Click on Car Show registration, then scroll down to XLR display show.
Looking forward to meeting you. You should join us in April on our trip to the Carolinas.

Same reason I am going !!!

Meet the crew, see the plant and maybe stop by the Makers Mark Distillery on the way home.

OOH... Maker's Mark. Where is that? We may join you on the way home... if it's not too far out of the way :blinzel:

Makers Mark distillery is about 90 miles north east of Bowling Green up I 65 and about 90 miles south of Louisville, KY and I 64

I actually have a barrel there with my name on it waiting to reach its aging.

Forgot to say it is in Loretto, KY
