I have a Satin Nickel 04 with only 29k miles, with numerous upgrades. Vehicle is in near showroom condition.

The passenger door will not open from the outside. The power door does open from the inside......Is this a serious repair issue or is it something simple like a sensor under the squeeze plate?.......the inside of the door pocket where you put your fingers in the door pocket to open.

On and off, the doordoes open from the outside?....Baffled.

The car is now up FOR SALE on Car Gurus. I need to get this issue resolved before the sale.

I am very reluctantly parting with the car, due to two upcoming knee replacement operations.

Thanks to anyone that can shed light on this issue.

Mike k. You most likely need a new squeeze plate as you call it. They should be easy to get as I believe they use the same one on Corvettes.

several post on here how to remove them with a couple of screws and you can clean the contacts to get it to work .Plus a new one is only like 25$ About the cheapest part you can still buy and fix a problem on the car (because they are the same part on the vette)
