There is a hex bolt under that thin rubber insert in the arm rest. Take it out, and carefully pry the door upholstery panel off at each holder around the outer edges.You will need to have jack stands( with a cloth on them to protect the bottom edges of the panel) handy to sit the panel on while you remove electical items. Use extreme care so as to not move the panel away from the door to far, so you don't break any wires or electrical parts, like the light at the bottom rear of the panel!!This whole process is easier if you can have someone to balance the panel on those jack stands while you do those things neccessary to totaly remove the panel. Then lay the panel on a table, or other surface, to work on it.

if you take the panel off there is a screw that most people miss behind the small clear lower light
