My XLR/V(s)
2006 Blue Steel XLR
Looking for help locating source(s) for interior door latch release switch, please?
OEM - GM p/n 10354849 -- Discontinued. "No stock" with all my normal sources.
For driver side 2006 XLR....inside release button.

Can you help me?

Theres a write up where someone used the corvette one with a little modifications. Ive not needed one yet to see what involved

Thanks....I know the Corvette button is a different shape, but was wondering if the mechanism itself would work with the XLR. I'm assuming it's the same technology.....just might need to alter how it's mounted because it's round vs rectangular.
I'll see if I can find the article.

thanks again!
Tim

Just wanted to let you know.....the C6 part worked for me.
I was able to pop off the cap/button and swap the round C6 cap with the original rectangular XLR cap.

Thanks

If you can’t locate them, this info might be useful. The C6 switch from Amazon has the same plug and base. $20 gets you a two pack. The twist is that the corvette button is round and the XLR is a rounded rectangle. I had to over-drill the hole in the door panel very slightly to install the switch. I actually tried just filing the switch button down instead, but the result was ugly. Glad they come in a two pack. Bottom line, my 2005 accepted the switch without any wiring and has worked beautifully for a while. Again, it’s easier if you find the actual switch, but I know this solution will work if you can’t.

That is the route I took. $20 for the 2-pack of C6 switches.
I was able to remove the button portion of both switches and swap the round C6 button with the original rectangular XLR button. (used a tiny, skinny screwdriver to pry the button from the switch)
