Guys I know I have seen it; however, my search skills are not working. I need to do remove the headlight and do some clearcoat work. Can you point me to the removal instructions/steps? Any tips?

FROM GIZMO,
I'll jump in here and take this one since I just di exactly the same thing. You must take the front tire off.Remove the front spash guard (4 screws and 3 push pins). Then find the three bolts underneath the headlight. This is the tricky part cause there's actually 6 or 7 bolts under there but only 3 hold the headlight in place. If you can, get a tiny flashlight and look up in there for three satin-looking stainless bolts (the others on mine were black) - those are the ones you want to remove. Once those are off, just lift the headlight out.

A small tip. Once you get the headlight unbolted, from under the hood disconnect the main headlight cable along the inside fenderwell 4 or 5 inched from the opening for adjusting the headlights. Push it and the rubber grommet through into the fenderwell and work on the headlight comfortably away from the car.

Great tip, but you didn't say why. I found out the hard way that if you try to work on the lamp with it still connected, the bolts will cut/scratch the fender/bumper with the slightest movement. I used a bath towel underneath to keep it from happening again.

Headlamp removal

Just turn your tire one way or the other if you need the room.....you don`t have to remove the front tire and all the work it includes.
