Garage Door Opener ?

I Have An 05 XLR On Drivers Side Sunvisor There Is The Garage Door Opener , Question Is It Wired In Or Just Glued On The Visor, And Will A Visor Without The Opener Work On The Car Ok ?

The GDO is usually wired in for power and ground. A non GDO visor will physically bolt in place but may have a different connector on the wiring. It will work fine in place of the original one but you don't want to eliminate the wiring as it will feed the vanity mirror as well.

the plug will power the vanity light even if no garage door opener in the sunvisor , One harness, two visors. SMC auto parts had some a while back new for around 110.00 with opener.

Could that plug in the driver's visor for the so called vanity lights, have something to do with the problem with the reading lights on the mirror not going on/off with the doors, that many of us are having???
