I'm having CTS Coupe withdrawal symptoms today because it's in the shop. It's NOT a XLR but is the next distantly close thing for me - has the angled design that I like, sufficient power, & you don't see them all over the place.

Got a 2013 Buick Verano loaner (was hoping for an ATS). It's actually a nice little car - & it is smaller than the coupe - with a lot of upscale features. Has decent handling but is sluggish, at least compared to what I'm used to! Considering you can buy this one right now after rebates for about $20k, it's impressive for the cost and it looks like it would cost more than that.

But it's not my coupe. I miss my coupe. Hopefully I'll get it back tomorrow.

Well I really do feel bad for you Amy! But at least they did not give you a 97 Buick LaSaber for a loaner car like they did me, although it was better than walking home and it's been sitting in the garage most of the time anyways with all the snow we been getting here!

Gotcha beat Dan! - one time at a different dealer I got the "body shop car." It was an old Olds Intrigue with a filthy interior that smelled like an armpit without deodorant. :ugh: Pretty sure it was the nastiest car I've ever been in. I had a yellow jacket on & was going to work and was afraid to touch anything because I would have to go home & change. I needed to get to work ASAP so just took the car as what I could get, but vented at Mike, who passed along my unhappiness to the dealership with his extra input. :bash: Didn't ever happen again - got a CTS rental the next time.

So we should both be happy as long as we don't have dirty BO-mobiles!

The last time that Crimson Pearl was at the dealer for her annual service, the dealership provided me with an ATS to drive.

I thought that it was very nice. It was a bit smaller than what I am used to, but it was nice and would be the right size for many.

Yes it beat the hell out of foot stomping all the way home! A BTW this ones not the cleanest either! Don't sound as bad as the bad as the DIRTY BO-mobile you had though!

Hey all I have a question here. Don't know if it's a major issue or not but just noticed this today
ra4utu6y.jpg
and then on the other side
ygusu3ag.jpg
. This gap where the top a pillar back window area where it meets trunk, wing Pillars. Is this normal spacing for water drainage?

It looks like the rear bottom of the window needs to get pushed outward alittle to seal against the weatherstripping better. Looks like there's a space between the window and weatherstrip. I just adjusted the driver side on mine this summer. the front part of mine was sitting on top of the weatherstripping and the rear was okay. Theirs adjustments for that glass panel in,out, rotate.
I believe that the weatherstripping "gutter" system routes the water into the rear compartment. That's why you have to make sure your drain hole is clean. Now if you have wet carpet that's a different story. Good luck

Well the big test will be Friday and Sunday.

60% chance of rain. I just got the car back today. The dealer had it off and on now for 4 weeks. The part was new weatherstrip.... Well just read my other post trunk rubbing. You'll see the ongoing problem I've been having.

I checked my windows and I agree with Stella's post, your windows need to be adjusted outward. Al

Should have gave him some pointers on how not to park the front so close to the curb.

:chuckle Or just back in. That's what I end up doing with the XLR.

He was around 50's I think. I saw someone that I think it belonged to. But by the time I finished with my purchases and went out. He was just leaving the lot

I think he'll learn the hard way.:pat:

Think we got the marring/microscratches on Victor mostly solved (or at least good enough for us)! :twist: No more starburst pictures, & boy is that paint soft! Can't wait to get the polish/sealant on that will help with the hold outs.

New ELR

Was watching the Oscar's last night and saw more air time for the new ELR in one night than I did for the XLR in it's lifetime. Sad.

Ok I finally was able to take the xkr out. Unfortunately I felt embarrassed because she has all this pollen on her. So I didn't drop the top today. +high pollen count today. I did see a bunch of other convertibles sporting their topless style. But back to the point. The last couple weeks I kept noticing this beauty at a recently remodeled church that is now a salon. Didn't see the owner but this time I had cards in hand. So I went up to the drivers window and stuck one of my cards with this site on it.

I'm guessing the person is the owner of the salon. But they had the car in the shade area and not at the front door area where I've seen it before.
So I did my deed and now he/she knows about the site. Unless they already are a member.
The salon is on the cross roads of leretto and San Jose in south mandarin.
