Just learned why the bank rejected the HUD statement, the date was entered as 1/117/2011 They are redoing it to now read 1/18/2011. GO FIGURE, computers are only as good as the person entering the data. If weather permits maybe I will be on the road Thursday.:blinzel::blinzel::blinzel:

ps Glad you didn't get too far from your computer RA, Yes indeed, welcome back.

I feel your pain  - we thought we found 'the house' for us and then found out that it was actually a foreclosure that fell out of escrow and we couldn't make a contingent offer .... Now we are forced to put our home on the market sooner than we wanted. The agent has told us that only 20% of the homes on the market in this area are not forclosures ...

Dang ... I would hate to have to move twice. :pat:

Hope you are on the road Thursday, because the weather out here is picture-perfect western winter ....

Your house might sell before the foreclosure house will. My brother in law has been looking at a foreclosure for way over a year now and it hasn't moved at all.

We're watching American Idol ....
It is always amazing to see how much talent is out there.
I love music .... and don't have an iota of talent .....
And I'll never forget "Sweeeeeeeet Caroliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine!" ;)

Quick update on Robert. He did close last Thursday but will not have internet until this Thursday. We went out to dinner with a local car club last Saturday. The guy sitting across from us had just bought a 64 Bonneville at an auction with only 12,000 miles. Looked showroom new.

Sunday he was kind enough to contribute to our local economy at the furniture store.

Thanks for the update... been wondering if he made it alright.

Thanks Kent for keeping everyone posted. Finally I have a home phone and internet service. Only had 144 emails to wade through. That is done so came to the forum to see what has been happening. Have now been here a full week and busy every minute. Furniture was delivered Tuesday so have a bed to sleep on, sofa, love seal, chair and ottoman, cocktail table and two end tables in the family room and two stools at the breakfast bar. Direct tv was installed last Saturday and the new tv unboxed and installed. Locksmith came Saturday and re-keyed all seven locks. Always lots to do when you buy a new, used home, but at least this one is new enough there is no remodeling or updateing to be done. I am cleaning up the leaves in the back yard myself and trimming blushes. Have five black bags filled so far and more to go. Will have to take some pictures and then figure out how to post them.

The salesman called it a cocktail table, I told him I was going to call it a coffee table since I only drink coffee or water. I guess if you want a drink here I will have to go to the store and buy something for you. I can put your name on one of the cabinets in the kitchen Kent.

Mid-Ohio Race

Just got Hampton Inn Hotel room reserved for races in August. Going over on the 4th so I can start setting up camp early morning on the 5th.

Yes, I do want to go on the drive to the Olive Mill. My sister in law has told me it is well worth while to go there. Motorcycle??? NO WAY, I inherited three BMW's and sold them as quick as I could. My friend that had the Bemers tried to get me to buy a K bike and put a sidecar on it, instead that is when I bought my Alante.

"Little Bugger" arrived yesterday @ 8:30 A.M., Filthy Dirty, couldn't see out of any windows except the windshield and barely out of it. The outer mirrors were solid black. Managed to drive it home, washed all the glass, drove to Colter Cadillac and wella, he looks brand new again. Put the top down @ Colter and drove home, making a couple stops on the way. Went out for dinner last night and about twenty people at the resturant went out and gave him the once over. When I was ready to leave there were still several people standing around that asked lots of questions and had lots of nice things to say. I washed the wheels when I got home from Colter as they still had a slight coating of the black gunk on them. It all came off and I am sure glad I used the special wheel wax on them. What ever it is they are using on the roads to get rid of ice and snow is pretty bad stuff, surprising that it rinses right out of microfiber cloth because it sure wants to stick to the car.
