Hi, I'm a proud new owner of a XLR in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Still learning and playing and so far staying out of trouble. The XLR-NET is a great source of information and a learning tool, glad to be a part of it.

I'm thinking about it. Here is a pic of the registration form with the location of the event on sept 13th.

. But if there were more xlrs attending it would be better. All the 2nd sat of the months cruise ins I have attended. There is always a allante that has pulled up next to me. The owner always says it's nice to park next to and show off the older ones next to the newer ones.

Welcome Andy... yes, there is a wealth of information on this site. If you have a question that hasn't been answered, do not hesitate to ask, there will be someone that will be able to help you out. Most importantly, read your owner's manual from cover to cover and keep the driver's rear compartment in the trunk dry as a bone. This is where the hydraulic pump is for the top...

I don't know if you'll have the problem or not Andy. But somewhere In these posts you'll find from me a "trunk leak" posts. I posted some pics from cclarke who shared with me about a problems with the weatherstrip replacement where the rear window and trunk meet.

Trunk Leak

I did see some pics and a video about moisture in and around the trunk compartment for the top controls and pump.
With all the rains we have been having for the past week I figured I should check it out.
When I figure out how to post pics I will post of couple of mine, looks about the same as yours.

Yes even After I had it fixed, I still go out, after it's been sitting outside, and after I get it home and under cover of garage, I open trunk up and check every square inch of the trunk as best as I can. Making every effort to examine the storage well and the "brains" compartment for proof of water.

Hello Andy

Hi, Andy,
Welcome to the XLR-net world. l have no idea where Green Cove Springs is, but maybe l'll get there some day. Fl. can be somewhat of a trial for these cars if you have a trunk leak. Right now, here in Ft. Myers, we vacillate between scorch and sauna, full sun and downpour. l get some condensation in mine in the morning and have been contemplating trying Damp-Rid. ln any event you have a wonderful car and l hope you enjoy your ride.

Jim, Green Cove Springs is located approx. 20 miles south of Jacksonville and I also have that Damp-Rid idea.
Purchased my XLR in late June from the dealer in Sarasota Fl.

Welcome to XLR Net

My belated greetings as I have spent most of the summer so far tearing up my knuckles working on mine. Good site with good people!

For Hawkeye's benefit  I will share that we have basically still been 'cold' here so far this summer. Last week one day it hit 40* and I had the heat on themostat set to 68* And, rain, rain, and more rain. So not exactly the best top down XLR weather here yet. But that was OK because Goldie was getting lots of work done on her.;)

Anyhow, Welcome!

Thanks CNC for the welcome. What have you doing on your car that's been so hard on your knuckles? Would like to have some of your "cool" air here, it's been in the mid 90's and much rain.
