Does anyone know if there are any xlr certified technicians in Alabama?

Can't speak to Alabama, but there's one at the Caddy dealer in Pensacola, Florida... about 45 miles south of the state line. It's been a couple of years since I visited Larry, so you might call to ensure he's still on board.

That was a need 15 years ago, today most XLR features are now on most other cadillac/GM models

Look on internet of your area and look for the Cadillac dealershis of your area, you could be very pleased .

Also the Chevrolet dealers that sell corvettes, and the repairs shops that service the XLR/Corvette.

For the retractable top, on the above is an advertiser '' top Hydraulic ''..... an expert for that kind of top and for all other similar cars like the XLR.

Every dealership I call says they don't have anyone that knows how to work on the tops. I'm just trying to not spend a fortune with someone who doesn't know what they're even looking at. I had taken it to a chevy dealership and the tech didn't even know how to do the relearn procedure. I had to show him how to use the tech 2...

When visting a type of this dealership, you have to remind that you are a guest, the dealership obligations are to take care of its customers first.

A dealership has the obligation to carry parts and tool and to send his staff to the thecnical training at the GM place.

Your experience at this dealer was, perhaps, you having, an apprentice working on your car, bring it up with the service manager, if you get no satisfaction, change of dealer.

The service repairs shops are often some ex employes of a dealer, that is why there are many, try your chance.....however you could get in the same present situation, if you are not a regular customer.

If you are confortable with a tech2, buy one and with a service manual.... get to know your XLR.

Re''Top Hydraulic'' is a fine specialise shop for that type of top, give him a call tell him your concerns he is professionnel, he has made many video on how to repair the top on his internet site, make a visit you will learn many aspect of how the top of your XLR works.

Hennessy Cadillac in Duluth, GA has a certified tech that knows how to work on the top. That’s the only place I take mine now.
