top 5 "must do" upgrades/fixes for the XLR

beaver, someone posts on their statements that a car collection is not one car. Steve was commenting on that

I own (5). I guess that make me a car collector Extraudinaire! I have a 2005 XLR, a 1957 Corvette,a 1940 Ford convertible, and (2) 1950 Fords; a Crestliner, and a Tudor Custom sedan,

Awesome post some pictures of your awesome rides!

The first thing I did was debadge the sides... I like a clean look to the sides. Especially didn't like the square "GM" badge behind the doors on the quarter panels. Of course, a car cover was essential... purchased a Wolf custom cover. Next was to install the "V" rear sway bar, as mentioned by the others. Then HAD to have a factory chrome grille, I didn't like the look of the "amethyst" color that it came with, but do like the factory look of the original grille (personally, the mesh look doesn't do much for me). Followed by '08 chrome XLR rims (the original rims just don't have the "pop" that this car needed... much better in chrome). Would like to do the HID fog lamp kit and LED interior lights, but other things take priority...
As you can maybe read between the lines, I like to keep the "factory" look to the exterior, but also like to upgrade to my taste...
Yes I have the dul grill and wish I had the chrome grill instead. Would be nice to give it the pop it deserves. But haven’t looked at the price of doing this. My lower grill is also in need of a new look or replacement. I’m loosing more peaces and will need to replace soon But then if I do go with the new shinny grill I’ll need to do the wheels then the exhaust tips will need to be done. So I guess my wallet would be drained really fast. So other then the painted calipers I did awhile back (several years ago) my xlr still looks base.
