I have to replace a leaking coolant hose on my supercharger / intercooler. As part of the drain/re-fill process the manual recommends replacing the o-ring on the fill cap. I've located the part no. as 12583999 "Cap-inter cool fil (o-ring)". Problem is, the part is unavailable/discontinued everywhere I look and I can't seem to find an after-market part no. Does anyone have any intel on an after-market part no. that would work? Or have the dimensions of the o-ring? Was hoping to get a replacement part before I open it up. If not, I guess i'll have to measure the o-ring with calipers once i get it open.

Thanks,
Greg

Thought I’d share the specs on the o-ring and some pics of my leaking supercharger coolant line. The fill cap o ring specs are:
50mm OD
43mm ID
3.5mm cross section
3mm thickness
Mine was actually in pretty good shape so I applied some zymoil rubber conditioner and reused it. Below are pics of where my leak was. The metal coolant line was rubbing/vibrating against the power steering fluid reservoir. After 18 years it rubbed straight through the metal! (Even though there was a piece of padding I had added a few years back) For the repair I ended up cutting out the worn section of pipe, then clamped in a section of 5/8” OD (16mm ID) hose. I also clamped a second layer of cut hose as a protector on top. For the coolant refill on the supercharger I tried using my Tech 2 clone to cycle the supercharger water pump, but for some reason it wouldn’t turn on. Below is a pic of the screen I was on. If anyone knows if there is a different screen to do this, I’d appreciate the knowledge. My understanding is CAC stands for Charge Air Cooling. This was under “special functions” of “engine controls” if I remember right. You can see the command state was on, but the relay and circuit were “incomplete”. I ended up refilling the low tech way by running the engine for a few minutes a couple times and topping up the fluid.

Ive found most v i look at the pump does not work. Since its a separate sealed system people dont check it, water leaks out. Pump runs and then locks up as its not pumping water. There is a rover replacement cheap. Bosch pump. pm me for a number
