One of the best games Chicago has played all year!!! They finally told 'Big Buf' Byfuglien to 'take out' Pronger. What a great performance by Dustin; 2 goals, 4 assists and some great hit on the Flyers!!

I'm with Supa...I miss football, too.

Typical Chicago Sports Team

It was announced last night, the Chicago Blackhawks have already broken up the Stanley Cup Champion team; with a mega trade--dealing Dustin Byfuglien, Brent Sopel and Ben Eager to the Atlanta Thrashers; for a first and second round pick in this weeks draft along with Marty Reasoner and some minor players. This gets the Blackhawks under the salary cap for next year. The surprise was dealing Byfuglien; who had three game winning goals against the Sharks to send the Blackhawks to the finals. He scored a total of 11 post season goals for Chicago. He is also one of the biggest players in the league at 6'4", 257 lbs--and he can skate!!

I hope Chicago doesn't regret this move in the future. On another high note; Duncan Keith won the Norris Trophy on Wednesday night as the NHL's top defenseman. Congrats!!

Yea, I was suprized to hear that about Byfuglien as well. I think he was only making $3M a year - Hard to believe they couldn't have found a different option to get under the salary cap. But we knew it was going to be very challenging for the B'Hawks to manuver under the cap for next year. Great news on Duncan Keith too! :rocker:

And GREAT NEWS with the US advancing in the World Cup!
GO USA!

Thank goodness, football is almost here!

Thank goodness, football is almost here!

It's here!!! Pre season not looking good for the Colts right now, but that's okay they will do good. And once again Brian Uralcher of the Bears is hurt again. Didn't play Saturdays game because now his shin hurts poor baby. Thank goodness they signed him to a lifetime contract. So worth the money.

Football season starts tonight. Woo hoo and a BAM!!!

BAM??? Oh no, I don't think the old guy can take it!
Supa - if I left now, I could almost make it to your house to watch the game. David's gone and I will have to watch all alone. Don't think my heart can take another season... almost 20 years with Brett and I just can't give him up.

Go Vikings! I like Drew Brees, but I love Brett Favre!

Just like your boy Brett can't give up football. :D
You should have made the trip Quinn, no one should watch football alone.

Bears play Sunday. Kevin will be crying in his beer Sunday afternoon.

Quinn and Kathy you two wouldn't want to be here watching the football game Kevin is cheering for the saints. :ugh:
