I had my mechanic replace all four tire sensors. Programing the way as was told to me by Rexster314 only the rear sensors programmed. A re-programming the front sensors programmed but not the rear. Now he is trying for a third time and if that doesn't work he'll get four new sensors and try again. Are we/he doing something incorrectly?

The third time was a charm. All the sensors are working now. The technology in 2004 is so different then what is present now. Now, I've been told, the sensors on newer cars read the tire pressure almost immediately. When my XLR was built the technology was new.
Thanks again Rexster314 for your input.

Actually, tire sensor technology had been around and in place for a decade before your car was built...... The good thing is that the replacement cost decreased and quality improved over the years. And yes, this XLR forum is very good :thumbsup

When the pressure sensors first came out all you got was a light on the dash alerting you that ONE or more tires were low on pressure. Not a specific tire. You had to check all tires to find the low tire.
