Robert, you did exactly what (and more) than we could have asked anyone to do. You checked out a couple of places and gave us good information to go by and each make our individual (or group) hotel choice. And I thank you for that.
It's true though, what works for some doesn't work for everyone. And that is okay.
The rates at the CMR are variable. Those who want to stay there may meet different criteria if they choose to stay there ... Corporate, Government, Military, AARP, AAA, etc ... it would cost about $250 more to stay there versus the Hampton or The Rodeway.
But, like I said earlier - it doesn't matter to me where someone stays - we have each day to wakeup/meet up and take our rides, go to dinner (and beyond!) .... hang out or whatever. But even in Bowling Green, not everyone went everywhere together.
We agreed early on that we did not want this trip to be an organized trip, but a meeting up of friends and cars - no one wanted to take on the responsibility of the time and efforts it takes to make this a formal trip. Maybe next year.
I think
where we sleep at night has to quit being the issue, and
WHAT we are going to be
DOING become the important part.
And we need to move on.
