I looked for a post on how to deal with a drooping visor; and did not find anyone who posted a solution. I took it into the dealer and all they had to offer was $450.00 for a new one. Since I am Pooooooor.....
I gambled on fixing it, and I have; or at least for the moment I need to drive it for a while and see if it lasts. Am I the only one who needed a fix?
If someone wants the skinny, just post and I will be happy to explain what I did.

Thanks
Jeff

Not had that problem... but may not be a bad idea to post your solution for future reference.

I have always felt that the visor was too close to my face, just the nature of the windshield rake and low roofline, plus it does not fold up real tight to the headliner. What was your fix? And I do have the seat all the way back and low.

I used a screwdriver and pryed the seam open around the perimeter of the seam. Figured I was taking a chance of ruining it but it does unsnap open.
From there you can see all the innerworkings. You fold it open and I had used some vice grips to squeeze the metal that wraps the post (pinched the opposite end relative to where it is riveted to plastic). I then tried to put the little snaps back into the paper near the post but they broke off, so I glued the plastic back to the paper before the fold (this keeps the bottom portion straight). This might not make sense without a picture or actually looking at the unit, but once you see it I think it might make a little sense. I also had to glue the opposite side post mounting back on, (you have to unsnap it open and reglue it). I think I did make a mistake when reassembling though as I folded it back over and it didnt seem to want to stay so I put a tiny bit of super glue on two of the interlocking pins. What I realized later is you have to squeeze it together really hard and they snap back together, without any glue. Now that I glued it; If I had to get in there again, it may be that much harder. Hope this helps...sorry no pictures. The key is if your somewhat careful the unit will unfold without damaging it to point of of being able to fix it and reassemble it.
