Fall Drive 2009

You guys got a lot of attention last weekend in IL with 5 XLRs, just think of the sight of 13 or more XLRs rolling into the little town of Madison.
It should be awesome.:rocker:
I think we are all going to get alot of attention with that list of cars.
I do hope Shirley and Larry do get to make it I haven't seen them in awhile.

Supa, since you have the whistle, airhorn and light up devil horns you should be the lead car. That should get some attention.

If I remember all of it. Last weekend I forgot it threw me off my game completely. :ugh:

Dash Plaques

I'm working on getting an event dash plaque made for each car. I should see the proof today or tomorrow.

You're a pro, I'm sure you will bring your A game. Don't forget your Elvis glasses.
I think Kathy has bought you a few more toys that she will be bringing you (along with your Jake stuff). You are going to need a bigger car.

Dagaz Acres

IMPORTANT INFORMATION for anyone wanting to do the Dagaz Acres Zipline course:

We probably wouldn't qualify as a "group", so, if you do want to do the Zipline course, please keep in mind the following:

They require you to register and pay online (www.dagazacres.com) to insure a spot, though they may be able to accomodate "walk-ins". They do not have a very liberal refund policy; your only option is to get a "raincheck", which will probably only be valid for you (see their full policy below).

They require you to be there 1/2 hour before your scheduled appointment. The only open option for Sunday the 11th is 11:00AM, so we would have to arrive at 10:30, which shouldn't be a problem. They will NOT issue any refunds or rainchecks for late arrivals! Rainchecks are offered if your "tour" is cancelled due to weather, but they must be used in the current season. The current weather forecast for Sunday the 11th is 55 degrees, 30% chance of rain.

IF YOU DO REGISTER ONLINE, PLEASE POST IT ON THE FORUM UNDER THIS THREAD! I'll keep track of who is going.

PLEASE READ THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY, copied below:
We have a 10 day cancellation policy. If you cancel your reservation prior to the 10
th day
before your tour you will be given a rain check valid for the current season. No rain checks
will be given with less than 10 days notice. Your tour reservation is transferable, so you can
give it away or sell it if you choose.
If you arrive for your tour, and decide not to zip due to fear, we will give you a rain check.
This rain check will be good for you only, for use one time, within the current season. We
encourage you to try again.
If we cancel your tour due to weather or other unforeseeable condition, we will provide you a
rain check. This rain check will be good for you only, for use one time, within the current
season.
If you are late, you will not receive a refund, rain check or be able to join your tour. Your tour
and guide must leave at their scheduled time. We do expect you to arrive 30 minutes prior to

your reserved tour time.

Thanks again - see you all SOON!!!!

Those are so cool.
We have our R2 & R3 plates mounted under the hood. Ray and I wanted to buy them for the attendees for R4 - but I never got the info. We would probably still do them if any of the R4's were still interested and wanted them - we thought about putting the XLR logo and an outline of the state of TX on it.:confused::confused: Anyone reading this, email me and let me know if they still would want one.

I am so excited for your drive this year. It is the best of the best.

This is the perfect event for any "newbies" to join in and do their first event.

I will never regret taking the first step in joining up on Rendezvous 2. It has led to some of the most fun I've ever had. :rocker:

I'll have Cubby let you know for him.
I must say Bruce, Kathy, and Rich have really made this a much bigger event than the last time we did this. They have gotten alot more people to join us on this Fall Drive. It is a good time and great driving. I can't remember how many cars we had the last Fall Drive? This is turning out to be pretty big. Congrats. :worship:

Way to go guys!!!

We had 8 cars last year (4 XLRs).

I know we would like one from R4.

I wish you and Ray and Todd and Karen were joining us, that would be the icing on the cake.

You got the final answer from Todd & Karen that they aren't going to make it. :ugh:
I keep forgetting to ask is Photo Mom bringing Zoey? I would like to see Zoey. :D

Yes, it is. I still have a few more owners to talk to. Maybe we will add to that number. I hope Madison is ready for us.

Let me repeat what you said ..... THAT would be the icing on the cake.

CT - send me the link to the company you are using for the plates .... I think I will just start there. I'm thinking that, at the least, all of the MM's will want one. Don't know about the BB's - they have pretty much dropped out of sight ... well, JetBoy would want one, for sure! Y'all would need to let me know.

No, I haven't heard from them yet. I'm still hoping that they can join us.

She said this morning that she was bringing her '98 not Zoey.:dunno:
