My 2005 Crimson XLR will be on NBC Saturday at 8:00. I bought it on Autotrader in June but could not see or drive it until the end of the month because the owner had leased it to a movie company in Wilmington, NC. The movie is Tackling the Past with Beau Bridges. It is shown on the trailers and I think Beau drove it. It is a 2005 Crimson XLR with 22,000 miles. Great car. Maybe I can get Beau to "sign it" LOL:rocker:

HEY!

That looks like MY car! :D

I watched the clip, and it appeared that the younger man was driving the car at the time, looking forward to seeing more of the car. I used to live in Wilmington so it will be doubly interesting for me to watch.

If you enjoy your XLR as much as I do mine, you will never regret your purchase!

I watched the movie today (DVR'd it last night) - some awesome shots of your car. You can tell they definitely wanted to showcase it for the son's "return home". My family and I really enjoyed watching the movie. While I wanted to see it because of your XLR in it - we all ended up really enjoying the movie and the message it sent. I love a great family movie like this one. I totally recommend this movie - very moving and it had a great lesson. :rocker:

Thanks for posting.

I had watched it as well because of the car, but when I actually watched it,I loved the movie, as a whole. Because of the car, it was just an added bonus. Such a great and inspirational story.

"Celebrity XLR"

The movie Game Time : Tackling the past was on LMN (the chick-flick network) last night. When it was on back in September, we were out of town that night but we DVRed it. Unfortunately, the football game on before it ran late. As a result, we did not get to see the last 45 minutes of it.

So, I DVRed it last night and we were able to watch the conclusion this afternoon.

Thought that some of you might want to know that I could tell it was filmed in several locations in Eastern NC. The town scenes and hospital outside scenes were filmed in Burgaw, NC, which is in Pender County.

The High School and football scenes were filmed at Topsail High School, whose team is the Pirates. In the movie, the town is Riverton and the team is the Buccaneers. Topsail High School has been used in many movies that were filmed in the area. DDL Studios have filmed many movies in the Eastern NC area. Quite a few TV shows have been filmed in the area as well.

So, how is your XLR, and how do you like it?

Thanks for info on NC money making. I have daughter in Charlotte and cousin in Wilmington.

The car is a great ride. As a past, and still, Vette fan I still have a connection to Bowling Green. I'm a Founding Member of the NCM but have never been there. Planning trip this fall in the XLR

Just rented the state of play movie on iTunes. Saw the xlr ImageUploadedByTapatalk1366593005.902449.jpg a black one. But can't tell what year. Maybe someone here can. I know it's probably a bad pic. But I took a snap from my iPhone

Dont think you'd be able to guess the year (from the outside), unless its a v-series, obviously 06+. Or the distinctive '09 front end.

Was there ever different wheels?

I've seen different wheels. I saw them on the platinum. They were spoked wheels.

Game Time : Tackling the past on DVD

Well, I HAD the movie on my DVR, but it turned evil on me one night and wiped everything off the drive! :dunno:

So I just recently purchased from eBay a DVD copy of Game Time : Tackling the past. I just like watching the XLR in the movie so much, I had to have a copy!

Only $5.00 and a couple of bucks for shipping!

My "movie star" is doing fine. Definitely looks like it did in the movie. Just turned over 30,000 miles so have many more to go. Still looking forward to trip to Bowling Green to check out my "brick". Even as a past Vette owner, I believe this is a fantastic car. Easier to get in and out of. Don't forget the "wave" Bruce

Maybe I missed it, but did Beau sign the car?

No signature. Beau didn't drive the car. It belonged to his pro football "movie" son. Not sure Beau ever saw the car.
