Nice to have the gang in town!

It was so nice to see "the gang" again! Thanks to all of you that made the long drives! I hope everyone had a GREAT time.
I really enjoyed seeing Ruth Ann & Ray again. Ray was THE MAN on Saturday, coming to the aid of a woman who had fallen off her bicycle near the XLR tents due to dehydration & the heat. Ray was the first one to help & stayed with her until the ambulance arrived.
Marc did a wonderful job again this year with the tents & the arrangements @ the hotel. Cubby picked a great place to eat on Friday night.
We had 13 XLRs from 7 states! It was a lot of fun, hope to see you all again real soon.

Let me start by saying once again I had an amazing time... Thank you Bruce, Kathy, Mark, Cubby and absolutely everyone else who made this weekend the wonderful event that it was... It was great seeing everyone again and it was as though we never skipped a beat we picked up right where we left off last year (Although we will have to work on our singing voices for before our next gathering)....lol.

I don't know that I've ever encountered a more beautiful group of people and I am truly grateful to be an XLR owner because without IT, I wouldn't have all of you.... Thank you, FAMILY...

Well, we're now home a day and a half, and the jet-lag has subsided, and the unpacking begins .... What a great time we had .... we started out Thursday night with dinner in Bourbonnais with LinSue/Butch, Quinny & Dave .... and our most wonderful hosts Cubby and Supa ..... Let the thank yous' begin there. So much fun to have a pre-reunion ..... the next day we were back in Bourbonnais and Cubby and Marion so GRACIOUSLY allowed Ray and I to co-pilot their beautiful rides .... I'm pretty sure Supa and I never shut up .... I hardly remember the couple hour drive .... and I think we settled all of life's crisis .... So, thank you again Supa and Cubby - Ray really appreciated that seat in the CTS-V .... and let's just say - Supa knows how to drive that X. On to the hotel where we see a big ol' ProScan van and a beautiful Tofolo Blue XLR - OMGosh, let the party begin! Missy Bling and Marc brought every single thing you can think of to make the show the most comfortable place in Carmel, and cooler after cooler filled to the brim ..... snacks, chairs, Mr. Blue (M&M) .... your wish was their command, so thank you Marc and Missy for everything you did, every second of planning and on top of that our special, special bond ..... You did everything perfect. And thank you my Missy for putting my butt in your shotgun seat - there's no body in the world I would rather get lost with ... The dinner that night - again - great fun .... Cubby, good choice on the restaurant - Cubby and Marc - thanks for setting up the taxi's .... I know we couldn't have driven back ..... Met almost the entire group that night at dinner - old friends, new friends ..... The New Chicago Gang, all the MM's ..... people from PA, and a Solo from FL who steals the hearts of all the women ... all the guys like you too .... no, not like THAT. Back to the bar and I believe my soul sister and Butch shut that down .... The show was awesome .... loved the whole experience .... here comes my Photo Girl, Bruce and Jeannie ..... we never get enough time with them .... I am so grateful for Kathy's love of photography for her and Bruce are truly the historians of our group. Each event we've been to we print selected pictures and I create an album .... THANK YOU GUYS FOR PUTTING OUR MEMORIES ON PAPER. That night after a 'memorable' steak dinner (Marc, quit beating yourself up - believe me, we've had worse) we went out the side door and DD brought out his guitar and, well, I mean, who else gets their own private entertainer .... he has the voice as smooth as that cognac he was drinking .... always will be his #1 fan and adore that he is always so kind. Quinny and DD .... we thank you so much.... You guys are so special to us .... the next morning was so hard to say goodbye - out here in the land of fruits and nuts we just say adios amigos .... lol ..... but my heart was hurting ..... We have such a special bond with all of you .... Bob/Paula ... Chad/Ro .... the Zilligan boys .... Whit and Coyote Karen, George ..... Nice to see Giz and PJ again and make new friends that will be old friends at the next event. Just want to say thank you for the beautiful red shirts .... they are one of the prettiest we've had .... Okay, I'm sure I've missed a lot of people to thank .... I'm not going to get all sloppy here, some of you and you know who you are - we share a VERY special, unbreakable by distance bond - Any of you coming to San Diego, let us know .... make San Diego your last stop and we will bring you into the mountains away from the coast .... the nearest venue to us is the golf course and a casino .... lol Love you all .... till we meet again .... thank you, thank you, thank you.
