Got in the car and started to back out of the garage; I heard a beep, beep, beep? I thought, "what's that all about, there is nothing behind me?" I saw a message in place of the odometer reading that said, "Service Radar Cruise." Went on my errand, and tried to set the Cruise control. Wouldn't set and still displayed that message. Got to my destination and shut the car down. 45 minutes or so later, I got in the car, and when I started it the message was gone? Started home, set the cruise, and it worked fine. What was that all about???

Go to NAPA or some such, have them test your battery. Sometimes it's a weak battery that can cause all kind of malfunctions. Once you drive and charge the battery up, they may go away

Thanks. I'll have it tested, but I drive the car regularly, and it always sounds the same and cranks up very quickly like it has since I got the car about 8 months ago.

service Cruise Radar

the plastic cover over the cruise model in the bumper may just be dirty.

Which cover is it? There are two tinted covers in the bumper; one right, and one left. Is it one of those, or another one?? (And those 2 are clean like the rest of the car.)

Checked it with digital multimeter this A. M. Reading 11.85 volts. Meter "made in china." I'll go to an auto parts store and get what they read to compare. It's a SUPERSTART battery and is dated 2017.

Precisely: WHERE IS THAT PLASTIC COVER THAT MIGHT BE DIRTY , FOR THE CRUISE RADAR that could be dirty. Please be SPECIFIC so I can find it!! I know there are (2) black tinted plastic covers in the lower bumper area, one on each side of the lower air in take, and I wiped them off, even though they were for the most part clean. That whole unit was replaced by me a few months age because that plastic grill had a few places broken out and a lot of the rest broke on removing it It came as one unit (black) for $152.00 +shipping.

Where is it ???

Do you have a copy of the owner's manual? If not, highly suggested you get one or download one that's available. Your answer lies in the manual. 95% of the questions you have here are in that manual. The other 5% are in this forum. Instead of waiting to see who will answer your questions, do a search on the site here. Not wanting to appear snarky.
