well just like the heading says, I just bought a non V that someone started to customize a little bit and was going to do a Corvette swap. I am not that interested in the ls swap as I might be in putting a v engine into non v body. I could not find this swap out there. I would not consider it but I found a v engine low miles with wiring harness and computer cheap. Has anyone seen this swap attempted or should I just go the LS3 route? I could most likely install one of the HEMIS I have under the bench easier and cheaper but that just seems wrong on so many levels HAHA

I'd do the LS swap... the northstar is such a pain in the ass of an engine to deal with...

Conversion

There's a lot to consider on converting, no matter which direction you go. More power means a faster car, which means bigger brakes to stop that power. Getting everything in the car to still work after the swap is a big chore as well. Maybe staying with the Northstar swap would make it easier for all the modules to work correctly. Good luck in your endeavor!

Someone posted about this before, and someone else pointed out all the parts in the engine bay that are different between the V and the NA engine, and it's a lot. Plus there's the hood.

good point. not to much different .I already have the hood and grille I am going to run my own exhaust the get the one big center rear outlet whatever I do. This has the start of a pretty good looking custom body

I'd personally go the LS engine route..... just my opinion.. Go with your dreams,,,,,:blinzel:

Does anyone know if the heads & blower off of a 4.4l V can be bolted to the non V 4.6l? Are there any electrical connections that need to be dealt with associated with that?
I just acquired a 469 hp supercharged lc3, in good running condition from an 06 STS-V for $350! (Moving/Desperation sale) I'd really like to freshen it up & see it go into my 06 XLR. ...But I don't know what I'm doing or up against. 🤪
