Weird dealer pricing

[XLR Hopeful!]

Does anybody know why some dealers adjust prices up and down, frequently and by fairly small amounts? This is not just an XLR thing, but I've run across it fairly often while shopping online. For instance, look at this car and then the price history:

2004 Cadillac XLR - Lee Auto Group

I see no sense in this at all, but I suspect somehow it's computer generated. Does anybody know the reason this happens and how?

Most likely so they can renew the listing and move it to the top of the listings

Good thought! I don't exactly know how that works, but I do know that the top of a google search is the most desirable place to be. Same idea.
