2004 XLR red w shale interior
Hello to all. I have 2004 red XLR that has 67k miles. Twice in the last few months I get the check engine light on after start up. It's always "left bank sensor issue. I've cleaned all the non corroded terminals and replaced the sensor twice, even when the newest one checked out fine. I can reset the circuit and sometimes it stays off for a few weeks and sometimes the next day it comes back. I have only driven the car a little over a thousand miles since I bought it (thru auction) from the original owner last December and it stays under a light cover in my garage.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

So what sensor are you replaceing? Are you useing a generic scan tool? What code are you getting?
The magnetic acuator on the end of the camshaft is really not a sensor. If its a vvt timing issue it coukd be the wiring plug , when they get bad oil leaks into them .it coukd be bad magnets orbit coukd be the vvt valve in the end of the camshaft.
