Evening X Owners. Simple question, I think. What size are the screws to secure this panel?

From memory they are a very standard screw fitting, but must be short or they will damage wiring. Max half an inch long/10mm? I would guess at 4mm, bit over an 1/8. (1/8=3mm). You can check just by looking and identifying the clip they screw into. I'll try to remember to look at mine some time.

Question???? I have screws that are close to, if not, the size that you're describing. when I look at two slots that the panel holes aline with, it looks like something is missing Maybe a nylon nut or metal piece that fits into those slots that will catch the screw thread.

From memory it is a very simple, very cheap metal piece. GM have been using this simple clip and 'nut' for years, calling it a nut is going a bit far, it is a flatish 'U' shaped bit of metal (clips over both sides of the frame) with a hole and a twist to it which engages/catches the thread.
