New FTC and rebuilt pump but not taking reprogram

I cooked my pump with a wet ftcm and I have replacements for both but I can't get the trunk to work or the module to take a reprogram.

I've gotten the trunk to lower itself which I believe mean that it's using the pump

I can't get any of the trunk buttons to unlatch it and raise it. I can open manually with the key.

When I do the relearn with the tech 2, the calibration goes from inactive to in process but never changes.

I've indexed, I've cleared the dtc, but am still stuck. The pump is top hydraulics and the ftcm was nos from GM. Wondering if one of them is bad.

Any ideas?

Have you reindexed the side windows and is the trunk package divider in the upright position? These two must be done to start the top operation.
