Wondering if these are the "final iterations" of the internal combustion engine, with the high torque electrics coming on line for Cadillac very soon. Will there come "a future day" when an XLR restoration would "delete" the original gasoline engine for an electric motor, and the two gas tanks are replaced by batteries?

What a wonderful idea---- take those gas tanks out and put in batteries... (except my wife and I just completed an 840 mile one day trip in our wonderfully smooth running and efficient XLR that got 26 mpg) James
