I have taken delivery of the headlight lenses I had made. They are clear and fit well. They look good. Now, you don't have to spend thousands to replace a working headlight just because you have a yellowed or cracked lens. Now, you can replace the outer clear lens.

I have nine sets. Thats all. Let me know.
450 a side or 850 for the pair. Email me at jon@jontharris.com

What material are these made of and what temps are they rated for? I'm interested in a set

they are a high quality resin as for temp I cant say but they are made by a company I contracted with to produce these that specialzes in make these type of products for vehicle

You need to check because most plastics that can be shaped do not have any uv protection. It looks like you gave made them different than the factory. You might want to make video installing them. I sort of see what you tried to do but most people will be lost on installing them
Im trying to get some high school kids to come make some videos for me to make it simpler on some of the items i sell.

Not to hijack your thread but if anyone is going to replace their outer lens i still bave a few sets of the upper drl lens i made. First come first served. Just pm me. You can buy some on ebay but they are not polycarbon and w

these were not shaped these were poured after the molds were made. they are one piece so not the two piece lens with the grey band. these are the exact same shape and size and fit right back on the housing

Ok that type material is very brittle and does not have any uv protection so you will need to add a suitable uv coating such as ceracoat. I applaud your efforts and feel this would be an option for a broken or missing lens. Id like to see you show one installed compared to a factory light. On 06-09 the factory lens can be reconditioned and made new for 200$ or less to remove and install new drl run about the same as your lens. On 04-05 the lens need to be replaced so those cars being older msy not care as much about the finished product.. My customer base is pretty picky so i dont think i would be a buyer but im sure you can move them. I wait for a buyer to show them installed. That will help your sales.

here is an old headlight with the new lens attached and the lens are coated with UV protectorate

A little more info
The lens material is BJB WC-85. UV stable and very usable, mercury free as well.
from the manufacturer's website:

WC-85DL is a very rigid, 85 shore D, Mercury and Phthalate free, Water Clear aliphatic polyurethane designed to make clear or tinted castings of all kinds. Its low viscosity with good heat resistance is perfect for a variety of prototype and short run production parts. Its ability to accept pigments ranging from light to dark colors, and color stability when exposed to moderate UV light, make it a great system for a variety of real-world applications. This system responds very well to heated tools for quicker demolds and faster mold turnover. Customer feedback from beta testing trials has been outstanding with this new material. Production turnover times and physical properties for a material like this is very unique in the current market!

  • Exceptional clarity
  • Low Viscosity
  • High Heat Resistance
  • RoHS/REACH Compliant
  • Color Stability
  • Mercury and Phthalate Free
