My "Driver Information Center" is showing what think is an erroneous temperature reading, I believe it is indicating readings lower than they should be.
Is this due to a faulty ambient air sensor or, some other sensor?

Any error message or codes set?
Assuming your temp gauge is reading low, it’s probably a thermostat stuck open. You will usually get a message “engine hot AC turned off” and temp gauge will drop to zero (or actually 100 as that’s the lowest reading).

I just had the same thing happen to my car last week, code P0128, (temperature to low). I changed the thermostat and so far no more problems. I have only driven it a few times since but I think the thermostat being stuck open was the cause.

There are no error codes displayed because, this is not the engine temperature but the ambient air temperature as displaye on the Driver Information Center not the instrument panel.

I didn't know ambient air temperature was on the DIC, on my car it is on the radio display next to the time.
