I have searched through the forum, but I am not able to locate the answer to my question, so I thought I would ask you experts. Yesterday the guys finished re-installing the radiator and a new condenser, so I was able to crank her and get her up to operating temps and check everything out. The A/C is arctic cold...but only on the passenger side. I have both A/C controls on 60 degrees yet the driver is only mildly cool. I am assuming the XLR has electronically controlled electric actuators to adjust airflow and adjust temps between the driver and passenger. Does anyone on here know how many and where they are located? Secondly, is there a way this issue could be caused by the controller vs an actuator and has anyone else experienced this issue previously? :dunno:

XLR uses a novel rolling film panel to direct flow through the vents. The position of the film is determined by the Mode select switch on the HVAC. One (or both) could be suspect.

rolling film? i cant even imagine how that might work? sounds complicated. sorry i have nothing else to add to the topic.
i can say i have not seem any other complaints about the xlr regarding this problem.
is this system the same on the corvettes ? maybe some help over there...

You might want to have your dealer check out the driver's side thermistor. It provides feedback to the HVAC's dual-zone temperature regulation system.

Thanks all for the advice and information. I have a leak somewhere in my system, but I added some freon this evening, and after cycling the controls from hot to cold on both sides and driving her for a while, it seems to be equally cold on both sides now. I am assuming something was either stuck or not computing correctly.
