Cooling fan replacement

Hi to all,
I need to replace the cooling fan on my 2006 XLR as it no longer works.
My XLR was registered in Europe in 2006 but I think it was made in the USA in 2004.
That's because I found the cooling fan without separate control module and from the connections
I understood that it's incorporated into the cooling fan like in the 2004 model (I read this information here in the forum).
My question is: can I replace the cooling fan with another one that has the separate control module like in newer versions?
That's because the fans with the built-in control module are very difficult to find and also having the fan with a separate control
module would give me the possibility of also giving it a direct 12V control to make it rotate at maximum speed when needed.
The speed control signal voltage and frequency are the same in both versions?

The 2004 fan with the control built in the motor is a one year only and very difgicukt to find. Id look for a aftemarket corvette and just wire it in to a thermostate sending unit. You can put the 05-09 cooling fan on the car but you have to bypass the factory system
