Help! Cd head

I think they used the new srx screens on the xlr radio. Thete where a lot of them cheep at one time. Not sure about tge cd.

Hey dennis i tried to find it for a friend but all i came up with its a similiar unit tgat has just as many problems ,actually more because there are more srx than xlrs out there. The faults all semed exactly the same as the xlr . only thing i see is they seem to be cheaper used than what xlr junk yards charge. Other than that what did you find out? Im not a stereo guy so im not interested in kearning too much about this. Haha looks like you just need to change the wiring plug? Post a link to make it easier on people reading as this is a pretty common problem that most owners can fix i think.

I purchased the radio/cd changer brand new still in the original packaging from a company called Replacement Corp., they advertised on ebay. It was for a 2006 SRX but looked exactly the same as our radio cd unit except the buttons on the right side of the screen did not have any lettering on them but I only wanted the CD changer so that didn't matter to me. I just removed the old cd unit from the radio bracket and installed the new one, the wiring and connectors were the same and plugged right in. As I stated in my post I did have to switch the mother boards in the cd changer to get the steering wheel radio controls to work correctly, that's easier then it sounds. I hope this helps, good luck.

You're welcome MT, it's been almost 2 years now and so far so good. I still have the radio if you need one.
