Hi! I've been slowly working out the minor issues on a new-to-me 2005 with 112k on it. One lingering problem is the "SERVICE RADAR CRUISE" message. I did the low-hanging fruit like cleaning the lens, checking the connector, etc.

I think the module is alive because I can go into it with a scanner (Autel), check out alignment status, see that it has seen objects in this drive cycle, etc. The only thing that stands out is that in the DSCC module live data, the "Automatic braking" status is set to "NOT READY". There are no ABS codes or anything, and all my brake lights are working fine. I wonder if someone with a scanner and a working cruise control could tell me what value they have for "Automatic braking".... Maybe "NOT READY" is normal when the cruise isn't engaged; or maybe it's a clue for me to chase down!

Does your cruise work? That the first thing.i can send you the factory information but the codes and info is going to be for a tech 2 scanner and im not sure if your scanner will work the same

It doesn't work. I turn it on and get SERVICE RADAR CRUISE. I don't have a tech2 but the Autel was giving me pretty comprehensive info for the DSCC module (which is where I was seeing the "automatic braking" not ready). My hope that someone would say "Oh, my cruise works and I get automatic-braking-ready in the scan tool" and I'd spend some time poking around the brakes to see why it's not ready.

It's not worth buying a module or a new scan tool for a cruise that I'll never use; i just like to fix things that are fixable.

Hm, ok. Maybe the Autel isn't able to read those specific DTCs. I'll see if there's a local (to Boston) who wants to make their clone start paying for itself.

Ive not used one . i just know the factory manual refers to tech two readings and functions. Other than looking at connections and grounds all of the repairs involve replaceing the ecm, the cruise module or the crusie module controller.
